How rare is a 4x2 intake for a 331-392 intake and who made them? I'm talkin about 331-392 with the carbs in a row.

  2. Good question...my guess would be that it is not as rare as the spread bore 4x2 (where the carbs sit at the corners). They did everthing in a line until the dual 4 barrels took over..

I did see a weiand 4 carbs lined up, last spring at an auction sell with a ton of other hemi stuff including a mech fuel injection unit, trans adapters, a blower set up etc...the whole group went for 3 k...

a little outta my price range..

As far as tuneability and performance goes, have you run that setup much Tuck? I'm thinking about the exact same setup, but I will be building a fairly streetable motor, and dont want to fuss with it all the time.

that's awesome. if you EVER decide to sell it.... very interested.

  14. Now that's rare!

I've got a Weiand WC-245 4x2. I've probably seen more of these than any other 4x2. problem with these is they are setup to run straight linkage. The cross runners really do not distribute well enough for a progressive linkage. I got around this by putting a plenum box on top.

The Cragar is probably the second most prevelant one. The carbs dump into a nice open plenum so progressive is not a problem with it.

3x2's for the Chrysler are rare although you can still get new Offys for the Dodge hemis.

2x4 is easy as Weiand is still making them.
