Since the owner may be tied up with talking with the cops and other things, I am going to start a separate thread for him about the theft of his beautiful 32 Ford coupe. It was just stolen from Deleon Springs, Florida, and has a lot of distinctive features, like a real steel firewall being grafted in, etc.

Here is a link to the build thread so you can find all the details on the car, and also a picture of it. Lets get as many eyes looking for this car as we can and get it back in one piece for him.

And you can find the build details on this thread:

This really upsets me, a guy works his tail off building a nice car, and some scum(s) go through a wall and take it. The owner is just such a nice guy too.

I suggest everyone put sufficient insurance on their cars because this stuff is happening WAY too often anymore.

A few nights ago I was leaving my shop around 1 am and all of a sudden I saw flashing lights behind me, a Sherrif was pulling me over. He wanted to know what I was doing in that area at that time of night. He was polite and so was I and I thanked him for keeping an eye on our area and our shop. Part of me thought it was strange that he did it, but things like this 32 being stolen make me want to call the substation and thank the Officer on duty...............in fact, I am going to do just that.

  10. great idea don. they probably don't get that enough.

this sucks. i don't follow many hot rod threads, but i did this one. great car. i tell people about what he did to it all the time.

i don't guess it matters too much, but, where did they steel it from? home?

  11. if you get any details, post it here, the hamb has eyes everywhere.

Man this really sucks. I have seen this car a few times, the owner did a hell of a job with it. Hopefully it will be found intact.

  13. I just got done going through the entire build thread for this car. If any parts show up around here I will recognize them. Hopefully it will make it back home.

  14. This SUCKS!!!

I hope they find the car before he finds him.

Bummer. I sure hope it is found and not cut up. Or isn't earmarked for a container in Miami and a short ride to Columbia. Gary

What are the police saying ? Did no neighbors or anyone see anything ? I would be knocking on every door near my home just in case someone might have some little piece of info.

What kind of wall did they go through? That is a very odd part of this story.

Agree, I put thieves and murders in the same class of people, they all should be nuked in a giant microwave oven.

    Don...

    Thanks for starting this Thread.

Always tragic when someone thinks they can get "Something For Nothing", by stealing someone's hard-earned property...especially a beautiful Rod like this with so much love & hard work poured into it.

Hope they find both the Rod...and the Perp !
