the front was the easy part..all i did was unbolt the stock spring pockets and made bag cups..going to have to notch for tire rods and probably raise up the steering a little bit, b/c i am pretty sure it will lay out on the ground

started redoing the rear suspension, before it was just thrown together to get it on the ground. I made a crossmember that bolts into the factory leaf hangers for the lower bars. waiting till i actually have my driveshaft in to put the driveshlf loop in. going to work on my upper bars and getting the bags mounted sometime next week. Then its time to redo the spring towers in the front to fit these 2600 lb dominators in there.

    Any updates?

I've got some questions if you don't mind.
Did you use drop spindles in front? Did you remove bumpstops? Did you have to raise the DS tunnel?

Thanks. Car looks super cool layed out!

    had to do this

    to fit these up front

i had the small 2500s up front and decided to go bigger with the 2600 dominators. going to rebuild the towers and just bought a tubing bender. So progress is going to get going on this thing again.

actually no drop spindles...completely removed the spring cover and with a small bag u should have no problems. Although i am going to have to notch the frame for tire rods and i did notch and plate the lower control arms b/c hit the frame.

Cool fairlane there mate, looks great slammed like that! Those steelie wheels are different, did not know they made them that big, are they the spare wheel rims from the dodge? Same stud pattern as ford? What are your plans for an engine? Keep up the great work :)

enigne, im not 100 percent on, i have most the stuff to do a 2.3 turbo tbird motor or 3.2 taurus sho converted to rwd. I could always just do a 289 or 302, but that is too common. the steel wheels are from a spare from a dodge nitro rt. I might be changing them to something different bc i only have the one wheel and a friend has another set of 20s i can get from him for cheap

That looks freaking sweet. I thought about the dodge 20 inch steelies on my rambler, but I went with police cruiser steelies instead.

Looks good! If you'd left an inch or two between the rockers and the ground the air suspension would have been much easier, but obviously you wanted to ground it when stopped. Just wanted to point that out for others, mainly.

I am curious, are you gonna cut the floor out of the car and raise it? I am interested what motor and trans you use, and how you are gonna run exhaust. Post the pics man. Good Luck.

yes, that is true, , i could of just 2 linked it and notched the frame in the rear like and inch and it would of been like an inch or so off the ground.. but i am kind of anti 2 link and i have spent countless hours bulding frames and cutting floors on rangers, s10, ect to get them them to sit this low. This is probably the easiest thing to get on the ground i have ever worked on. I do not plan on raising the floor but i do plan on raising the trans tunnel and driveshaft tunnel to run the exhaust. Not a 100% on that tho..when the time comes i will figure something out.
i am going to try and get the front done so that i can get a motor in it and figure out what i need to do for exhaust, driveshaft tunnel, ect
