My favorite swap was the Mercury SW tailights in a 56 Ford. I was going to do it until I came up w/63 (I think, been a while) Fairlane tailight assys. that gave the sunken tailight look on that car.

Edsal SW tail lights on a 57 Ford or Thunderbird really trip my trigger, but the 56 Merc SW tail lights in a 55 or 56 Ford are right up there too.

I like the 58 Edsel station wagon tail lights. Not that I'm biased...

The '59 Cadillac had the most outlandish and flamboyantly magnificent tail fins to ever grace a car. Here's one I let get away.

FWIW, '56 packard tail lights were a three year tail light on some models (1956-8), '54 and '55 were however one year.
And I'm right with you on '55 lincolns. They're probably my favorite tail light. ![]() The pete angress car is probably why they're my favorite tail light honestly. |

53-44 Buick... They made them almost the same for 2 years, and each car came with 4... The bezels are stainless, and 56 Chevy lenses can be adapted to fit.
Couldn't be simpler and they fit anything, anywhere.
