Thats cool, and just think when the 80s come back for our rods all you have to do is change the colors to pastel pink and Blue.

It seems a lot of these look less like flames and more like the paint shredding off the car, which honestly seems faster than it caught on fire haha. I can dig the chunky flames when they actually look like flames though, your rendering is pretty spot on.

This is a great idea for a thread. And, even if it's too late, somebody should post an early photo of the R&C Dream Truck 'cause I think it had chunky flames at one point.

Love the chunky flames! I was gonna do them on my '32 but unfortunately I have to sell it so I guess maybe on different car down the road.

I've always wanted to do a late 50's style Custom with some seaweed flames.

Just found this on another thread, I thought it fit. By the way, I'm maybe gonna do a Berardini Bros. style flame job on my coupe when its done..... kinda cream colored and I don't know what color the body will be yet.

Definitely different from the new style.. No idea what I'd call them either.

I'm leaning towards a metallic green shade real similar to the one on LadyShifter's Vic.

Yep, as of right now my 5w will be going down the road. Unless I can sell something else that would get me close to what I need out of it.
In a way I'm sad, but I have to grow up and be a Dad......so I'm replacing it with a '32 Phaeton instead! Shhhh.

As for flames, I'll always liked the "California Kid" style and color.

You're such a gold-chainer. Here I am, over here, giving you a pity party because the 5W went bye-bye.
Jeez..
