Their steering boxes are, the stuff surrounding the steering box is fugly.

Remember the covair engined T roadster that was at the Street Rod Nationals in Tulsa in the 70's? As I remember, there was a picture in a magazine of the guy in the car reaching waaaaay up at a drive thru window....the entire car must have been 26" tall.

I never thought so. Even if you can pick it up for cheap, why spend the money on a car your not 100% excited about, its like dating a fat chick with a pretty face.

Yeah,they are cool,probably not the most Hamb friendly of cars but cool none the less.
I know several Hambers that own Corvairs. HRP

In A&P school I had a instructor that had a 396 in his hooked to the stock transaxel. The front and rear fenders were shortened, It was really cool. But really the only one that I ever wanted.

My first car was a 62 4 speed it was cool then, But I say no, They did make a kit for mid engine small block in the 70s
