Clysdale, Your work just gets better all the time. The frame design is genius.
Spoggie: This isn't exactly asymmetrical or too far off-center but then it sort of is... ![]() Scratchboard "BLOWN" |

Here we go...
Clysdale - always love your bones! very cool!! Spoogie - Asymmetry is so cool - might have to add a quick scratch to stay with the theme myself later - I really love yours> Bomonster - KING of the sctatch! Gyronaut - Tucker at the salt - very cool! Todd - I am Jones'n for that bowl'n pin, dude very cool!! - needs to be an Autorama Bowlin pin swap next year rather than a panel swap... btw - is that a pic of your new girlfriend? Gary - Always a little out of the box - I really love your imagination Jiggs - you never let us down!! Allison - where do I begin? Buzzbomb is the bomb!!.. your assymetrical? WOW.. how come I look at your stuff and ALWAYS think "where's he come up with all this?" and - of course - "why didn't I think of that?" Keep up the great work Janne - I love old Kaisers - especially the way you render them - awesome Third Gen - LOVE it Kenmo - great shots, dude xderelict - Awesome paint work!! Jen - Your striping is fantastic - always love seeing your stuff!! I finally finished the renderings I was asked to do of the 49 Chevy truck. This is a long box - rear fenders are lengthened to balance them out but not much else is done to this truck - had to talk this guy out of his ugly wheels - these are Rockets shown here... Original truck: ![]() What we are moving toward (truck is in the shop and underway) ![]() |

Well in no way am I at the level of artists that share their work here but last week this little guy was created from some spare engine parts I had...
This is my garage buddy "Pete" kind of a living tribute to my father Pete who had a stroke in 1995 and since then has not hung out in the garage with me... |

Do you use a special drying agent or is that a wet-on-wet technique or something else? Just curious. Great work however you do it.

TODD JONES!!! Sorry, I forgot to mention how cool your contributions are,
love the bowling pin! The monster panel is great too. Jeff A., killa D, man. I really like the asymmetrical car, would love to see it built and setting right next to the Lil Coffin. The piece you did for Speedway is too cool for words. Janne, Kaiser on a roll! Great work man. Tim, that blue coupe is so great monkey man. Can't tell you how good it is to see you posting some work. Cheers ! Thanks for the stuff Ken, always great to see your work! xderelict, nice way to repurpose those old parts, beautiful brush work! ThirdGen really cool work, nice, clean and a very clear read. well done. Great work again, Jen. the saw is suitably sick, there's something else about that on but I just can't put my finger on it... oh, the gold leaf! Great! love the garage photo too. BERNIE! Nice stuff sir. Jason, cool steel man! Dusty one, that Chevy looks fantastic! Thanks for the kind words sir. Thanks to you, too, Spoggie... Everyone else, thanks for sharing your talent, great show so far!

Thanks! I don't use anything special, sometimes a little turpentine. Typically, I use more of a dry brush technique.... very little paint, no medium.

Jen: that yellow canvas looks perfect! and i bet that cooler gave your eyes the run around. jdustu: your work is killer. your welds are awesome. Bomonster: are you still hiding your vehicle in every scratch board? janne:the purple hard top is cool. the chrome looks perfect on it. Everyone Else: awesome stuff. I missed last weeks so here's two weeks of fooling around with my brushes. first two are panel swaps. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

So, I "discovered" Clysdale's art here on the FAS. I loved it from the git go. I had an idea and contacted him. He liked the idea so I sent him a 1965 Hobie Super Surfer skateboard (I know that there are a lot of skate enthusiasts on here) and he worked his magic...
![]() I LOVE it! This is one of my birthday gfts from my wife for my 62nd birthday. Thanks again David.

Very very cool!
Groovy '57 man, nice modeling. Quote:
but it has it's place as time will tell and a thread of it's own would do very well. I think it would be cool to open the theme to an art challenge but, heck, right now it's tough to ring more than 5 pgs. out of the FAS. Seems creativity is in a bit of the doldrums at present. Thanks to all those who have continued to contribute and to Ryan for the forum in which to bust it out on Friday. Cheap entertainment, quality work. Who could ask for anything more.

I need time to work on my stuff, but I never seem to guess right what Friday's topic will be & never know until Friday...
![]() No assymetry I'm afraid, just hope it fits. BTW, absolutely cracking stuff this week! (As usual)

Thanks Jigger. Eloquence!
GaryC, I think that's my favourite this week. A big improve on the original, and beautifully realised colour in that silver & red. Mark's 'Vair & this one have fine balance, which can be difficult to achieve with this design theme. Fool Injection, everyone loves Awful/ Awfuls. The neg kinda suits it. BTW There normally isn't so much a theme here, it's run-what-ya-brung. Seems themes sprout spontaneously during the course of certain weekly shows. I just put this idea up about 4 or 5 weeks ago as something to shoot at, should you wish.

Thanks everyone for sharing these. Surf Monkey.. Amazing! that is my favorite car ever and seeing pictures of it of any kind is always a plus.
Hot Rod Jen I follow you in the pinhead lounge, and always am impressed by how well your lines come out. Just an old guy getting back into it. All of the art and the stripers just don't know what it means to some of us who lost our inspiration only to be able to see things that bring it back out. Thanks everybody VonDad

The FAS is still going? ...Cleaning around the house and found this, probably done this in the 90's. I've drawn this for a late great friend, Bruce.

This is pretty sweet. When you said you were watching "Tucker," i thought you meant Topper (Carey Grant flick from the 30's) which made me dig this up...
