I finally finished the renderings I was asked to do of the 49 Chevy truck.
This is a long box - rear fenders are lengthened to balance them out but not much else is done to this truck - had to talk this guy out of his ugly wheels - these are Rockets shown here...

This is my garage buddy "Pete" kind of a living tribute to my father Pete who had a stroke in 1995 and since then has not hung out in the garage with me...

4 hours in oil? Yikes, you work fast!
Do you use a special drying agent or is that a wet-on-wet technique or something else? Just curious.

Great work however you do it.

Thanks! I don't use anything special, sometimes a little turpentine. Typically, I use more of a dry brush technique.... very little paint, no medium.

david: the frames are a work of art in their own. the art work is rad too.
Jen: that yellow canvas looks perfect! and i bet that cooler gave your eyes the run around.

So, I "discovered" Clysdale's art here on the FAS. I loved it from the git go. I had an idea and contacted him. He liked the idea so I sent him a 1965 Hobie Super Surfer skateboard (I know that there are a lot of skate enthusiasts on here) and he worked his magic...

Nice image Spoggie. Asymmetry wasn't what you hoped it'd be
but it has it's place as time will tell and a thread of it's own would do very well.
I think it would be cool to open the theme to an art challenge but, heck, right now it's tough to ring more than 5 pgs. out of the FAS. Seems creativity is in a bit of the doldrums at present.

GaryC, I think that's my favourite this week. A big improve on the original, and beautifully realised colour in that silver & red. Mark's 'Vair & this one have fine balance, which can be difficult to achieve with this design theme.
Fool Injection, everyone loves Awful/ Awfuls. The neg kinda suits it.
BTW There normally isn't so much a theme here, it's run-what-ya-brung. Seems themes sprout spontaneously during the course of certain weekly shows.
I just put this idea up about 4 or 5 weeks ago as something to shoot at, should you wish.

Hot Rod Jen I follow you in the pinhead lounge, and always am impressed by how well your lines come out. Just an old guy getting back into it. All of the art and the stripers just don't know what it means to some of us who lost our inspiration only to be able to see things that bring it back out.
