My Dad and Mom brought me home from the hospital in a '40 Ford Deluxe Club Coupe in black lacquer with a rake, Navarro Heads, and an Edelbrock intake with three 97s.

I posted a thread on this car - 'Mystery 1939 Ford De Luxe Rumble Seat Coupe'. I 'borrowed' the photos from UK Russ 60 olds - thanks Russ. As I have always liked the oddball stuff, this one really spins my crank....

I'm a bit biased but I happen to REALLY like our rig....a combination of the '39 and '40. We have a '39 deluxe body and drive train (shift on floor) with '40 front and rear fenders (wide headlight cowl with chevron tail lights). Of course, it still has a flathead.

I like the 39 Standard & the DeLuxe .. I also like the 40 standard & the DeLuxe ...
My absolute favorite is the 39 Deluxe convertible ... :-)

A friend of mine just decided to sell off his collection of 39, and 40's. He has a lot of them, very nice stockers, etc. Pm me if anyone is looking, I just bought a few things and can't indulge.

Nothing appeals to me more than a '40 Deluxe. I don't even notice a '39 unless it was about to run me over.
