I recently picked up this 32 and had a couple buddies come check it out seems to have been built in the 40s based on the way things were done I was told the car was built in europe by a soldier then brought back to the states my only question is where can i find some alluminum heads to fit this european flathead? Anybody?

Forget changing the heads - I'd run that car exactly as-is. I want it!

    Awesome.

  6. the heads should be the same. if you wanted to hop it up alittle clay it and then shave them down to bump your compression. way cooler than a new set of fins!

I saw that 3W parked on a street in Culver City 8 years ago. Good luck with your new build.

Those heads appear to be the regular old 21-stud REPLACEMENT heads with the firing order on them. I'd leave them in place. Great car as-is! The chop is "righteous". DD

Cool car. I'm guessing the doors must have been off once upon a time and stripped, and left to rust again. Interested to see what your plans are.

  21. Damn that is one cool ride!!!

    Congrats.

If you change the heads look for some original early finned heads with lots of patina, but hold on to those heads in case you want to sell the car, that way all the original history goes with it!

That was my plan.... But ive noticed it seems all the 21 stud heads ive seen have the thermostat housings in the front of the head not in the middle of the head like these  maybe im just not finding early heads?
