I'm looking for pictures of 40-48 fords in original colors.
I have a MACS catalog with names like: Cloud Mist Gray Folkstone Gray Cayuga Blue Botsford Blue Green Blue Gray Poly Barcelona Blue Rotunda Gray Strata Blue Feather Gray Modern Blue Fathom Blue Phoebe Gray Cotswald Gray Garbor Gray Florentine Blue I saw a 40 ford in a magazine that had Missouri plates on it. (I think it was a 40 as I remember) that I thought was cloud mist gray. It looked good. My 46,7,8 sedan has a silver blueish firewall. I'm looking for something in between a gray and a blue. Thanks, Tim

Haze gray, Deck gray and Battleship gray names were already taken by the NAVY.
Ford has always come up with colorful names for their paint. Most of them give you NO idea of what the paint's supposed to look like. Other factories folowed suit. Mopar had some really strange colors for the cudas and challengers back in the 70's. I tried to get some of the purple from a paint store once for an AAR cuda useing the factory paint name and the guy didn't know what I was after till I told him I wanted "Goofy Grape".

That's great epinut.
I like the palisades gray. Looks like a lot of options in 46. I don't know what year the body is. I have both 46 and 47,8 front fenders.
