Good to hear you guys are back home and no one was hurt. Now there is just another old 32 that needs a little cuttin and tweakin and torchin and welding and who better to whip that thing back in shape than Jack and Drew. I hope the first part of the trip was all you hoped for.
Hey Drew, are you ready for a top for that tub yet? |

Now I feel better about my spark/timing issue in my non-swerved in to '49 Packard. Glad you are OK, You can rebuild it, stronger, faster, then before!

after looking the coupe over a bit, turns out buicks are damn tough. hit her so hard it stopped the engine so fast it spit the distriubutor straight up out of the engine along with a chunk of the manifold. trans is cracked. frame bent when eng/trans went back. firewall pushed in 3" . very minor damage to body. hope to rebuild and be back on the road.
thanks again for everyones support. |

I owned a major repair facility. I would have fixed this car in a heartbeat, so would a lot of other shops. Depending on the insurance company, some of the major carriers could demand he gets the car fixed. That is how it is in California. '' Real hot rods don't have fenders " |

finally had time to post pics of 32 5 window from kansas crash. found the parts needed, and now have about 125 miles since the rebuild. good as new ready for plenty more miles and smiles. have to say grundy insurance came through so far with no hassles. still billing lady's insurance for medical bills and some transportation bills to get car and mullins trailer home. still doing physical therapy for neck and knee injuries. but otherwise all is well.
pics to follow thx www.droppedaxleproductions.com Last edited by doose32; 01-01-2013 at 05:55 PM. Reason: more info |
