Just got back from a few days on the Salt seeing new and old friends and catching a little racing. It's always a great time just being at Bonneville, no matter what. Wendover, on the other hand, (or "Bendover" as it's often called when the hotel room... To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here. |

Thanks for the heads-up. We're still here and will check it out today. Sorry we missed you. Been on starting line at course 2 since Saturday. Maybe next year! Have my pictures posted on Facebook. Look up Jim Gracey.

What a cool thing to stumble upon! That's one of the sexiest streamliners to ever grace the face of the salt. Those wooden streamliners is a great idea for something I could do besides working on real cars which are frustrating to say the least.

I remembered that I have an old Stateline Casino jacket here. What it was before it became the Nugget. When Jims was across 80 and west of where the Silver Slipper (now Montego Bay) and most of the racers went to the Hidaway across the tracks. I need to get this jacket to somebody who hangs out in front of the Nugget and needs the creds as a long time guy.

Wow, really neat. Wish that I'd found that when I was there. I'll make sure to get up there when I'm in Bonneville next.
