Includes Converted Trans as listed above
SBC Aluminum Bell/Clutch Housing (non-tilted)
S10 Shifter and Shift Lever
Mechanical Speedo Sender.
Mechanical T/O Bearing Arm and Pivot
All transmission work was performed referencing the “Motorbooks Workshop” and “TTC Tremec T5 Transmission Service Manual”
All modifications were performed referencing HAMB Technical Archives http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=169265
Mid 80’s V8 Camaro T5 (26-spline input shaft) in good condition that was converted for hot rod use using a 1988 S10 mechanical speedo tail shaft and shifter housing.
Prior to disassembly the trans oil/fluid was drained and was found to be clean, clear, and not burned. The trans shifted through all gears and only had normal road grime on the exterior. The top cover and rear tail housing were removed. There were no burned gears or excessive slop in the box or bearings.
The S10 trans came out of a running driving 1988 4 cylinder truck and appeared to have been rebuilt at one time. The trans shifted nicely and the fluid was nice and clean.
The S10 top shifter housing and rear tail shaft housing were removed. The shifter housing and forks were all in good condition and the housings had no cracks or defects.
The Camaro output shaft was drilled for the mechanical speedo gear retainer clip recess. The speedo gear was moved forward and shimmed for proper operation and location for the S10 mechanical speedo sender. The S10 tail housing and shifter housing were reinstalled and the transmission reassembled. The S10 shifter and shifter lever were reinstalled so trans could be operated (custom shifter to be installed after installation to vehicle).
The trans was bench tested and shifted through all the gears without issue.
An aluminum SBC bell housing (non-tilted) was purchased. The T5 bell housing mounting holes were drilled to ½” and the bell housing was mounted using the correct SBC bell housing bolts.
Includes a mechanical T/O bearing release arm and pivot from a 1963 Chevy C10.
This set up was purchased for use in a 1935 Ford P/U with a SBC but never installed. The project is sitting on the back burner so I am selling off some of the parts that I accumulated.

I will not ship this item. Sorry. Must be picked up.
