Hi everyone!
I've posted my shrunken head rearview mirror ornaments a few times lately and had some good feedback, so here's the latest addition to the family!! She's nearly finished . . . just needs a couple more things! I've had a few questions on how I make them, so I took pictures along the way this time and posted them on the facebook page in my signature. Hope you enjoy, always a pleasure to be in such good company! Cheers!! |

![]() One of my earlier attempts at trying to scratch something. It's fun to look at an older piece and immediately see like seven things you can make better. That's what's cool about the FAS. I see improvement in nearly all the artists who post regularly here. |

Awesome pieces, ALL!
I recently gave a presentation to the Academy of Art students (San Francisco) on the influence of Alex Tremulis' Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg designs throughout the remainder of his half-century of automotive styling. The finished airbrushed pieces were incredible, but what REALLY got them going were the line drawings and pencil sketches. Those, they felt, captured the the pure brain-hand connection better than any (almost) finished rendering. So here's a few of his quick ones that would foreshadow some of Ford's mid-'50's show cars and a shot of Tremulis going through them with an as-yet unidentified onlooker... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Great stuff!
Bo, I think that's the sign of a great artist - one who's rarely happy with their work & always looking to improve. I'm replacing the front discs on my truck & I'm having a few problems removing one of the calipers. My thumb hurts like a bastard & I don't know what caused it. ![]() Anyway, I needed a break from it & this is the result.

I don't know if these are worthy of the F.A.S., but here are a couple shots of mine from Midnight Mass this year:
