You guys may have seen the wishbone bungs I have for sale in the classifieds. They’re designed to use the early Ford, ’28-34, tie rod end. These bungs combine the function of using the early tie rod, with an appealing design that tapers gradually with the wishbone. They’re made of mild steel, prechamfered and ready to be fit to your already split wishbone. There are some more details in the classified thread too.
Helping out the HAMB is always a good thing, so I’m going to auction off a pair of bungs. You’ll get one left-hand threaded and one right-hand threaded bung, which pair up perfect to your early tie rod ends. The auction starts now, and runs until 11:59 est time on Friday, July 27th. Once whoever has the high bid sends Ryan the money, I’ll get these headed their way. ★★EDIT★★ hotrod 32 ford has graciously offered to throw in a pair of new tie rod ends with this auction (see post #7)....making this auction even better for bidders....thanks! ★★ANOTHER EDIT!!★★ And it just keeps getting better...3kross has offered to throw in a pair of his frame bungs (post #10) - these are a really nice piece! And now for some photos – here’s a shot of the bungs by themselves (what you’ll receive): Here’s an example of the bungs welded into a ’33-34 wishbone: And finally, the finished product as seen on my roadster:
