I finally assembled and installed everything necessary to start up my 8BA for the first time last night. It was awesome. I bought this engine last summer, and took some of it apart to clean it up and paint it. Now it sits in my 51 Mercury chassis. I replaced the distributor with a Bubba's Chevy conversion unit, a 12 volt Andover coil, 12 volt generator, added Red's Header's, and a Merc-o-matic transmission. You guys might like the third video the most.

Well done - it's always a thrill, the first startup.

Nice! What paint did you use? I want that color for mine.

The spark plug wire retainers, where did you source those?

I'd like to add different heads and a dual carb intake in the future.
