this is my 51 ford that i bought from a fellow member. I'm in the process of chopping it, and being that this is only my second chop, i thought that i should start a thread so that if I'm doing something the wrong way, someone can correct me.

  3. Unless your a midget I think there might not be much headroom with a 9" chop.

Post up some more pics. Chop sounds a little radical. Less is more in my book, but i am sure it will look good...

    the passenger side panel made

i took some round bar, and bent it a little more than the radius of the roof and welded it to it. that kept my roof from drooping when i cut the rear section out. might sound weird, but it worked perfect.

and here's the passenger panel tacked in place. all the pics are up to date now. this is where it is at the moment.

Nice work, a little low for my taste, but a nice job none the less.

Too radical for me, but it ain't my car and nobody asked my opinion. Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing this move along.

How long did it take you to make your filler panels and is there alot of stuffing around?

It took about 3-4 hours for each side, and I'm not sure what you mean by "stuffing"
