well. since we have had a good response on my green shop truck, and it has been such a blast to drive, me and dad decided to build one for him to play with.

a couple of years ago we picked up a few '32 pickups from up north. four to be exact. this one came from New Hampshire. when we got it, it had a dropped axle and juice brakes, but the chassis had a lot of hacking done to it. so we tore it apart and redid the chassis. we started with the cross members. the front and rear were dropped, and the center was replaced with a good original. as for the motor, the banger was running but was lacking the power we needed to make trips. out with it, and in with a 59AB. at the same time we installed a rebuilt '39 trans.

as with my truck, we left the paint in a weathered state.

don't worry, we have some nice & shiny trucks in the works.

hope you like our new beater.

Truck looked great at the Round Up. Glad you found a few minutes to throw some meaty build pics to the hungry dogs of the HAMB.

When Chris posted his pics of the Roundup, he showed a rear 3/4 shot of it and I knew I'd seen that LOOK before on a truck...killer Danny.

Rolling Bones has their signature look with 3w's, you guys got it going with trucks.

You guys are making me want another truck...

it bends and flares just like the silver line. i liked it on this project because the frame is black, but i don't care for the look on other colors of paint.

one draw back is that it shows up scratches in the line. the silver line is not that way.

    thanks. glad you like it.

Not very pretty. Lime green dash and button tucked seat does not make for good pictures. :)

But if I must, I'll post some pictures.

I'm wondering how the hell you get the front down so low without splitting the wishbones...the frame obviously doesn't hit it...???

Ooooo...that's just sweet! But...( here it comes )..you really should give ME those awful HUGE headlights and let me give you mine off my 29 roadster...don't want ya running around looking silly an all. And in deference, I'll run those horrendous things on my car...hehe...
Seriously though, that is one sweet little truck...it's got THE look!

it's not really that low, the frame isn't even notched for the front spring. the area that you have to worry about with unsplit wishbones is not hitting the oil pan.

I saw this truck at the LSRU and I loved it. I would love to have something like this to drive around town and pick up parts in.

You say this is a beater, I think it's perfect. It serves its purpose.
