I felt the same way and found if you make up a couple jumpers you will be fine because those "universal" relays can be pieces of shit! One area they seem to get used up in is the remote entry when you have no door handles or trunk handle. my cuz has a 50' chevy that is smoothed out and i put a little kit together for him that has been used a couple times.
