Finished my first custom garage sign for a customer. The sign is laser cut from hardboard and then hand painted and lettered.

![]() Submitted this piece to Threadless's "weird" challenge earlier this week. It started as a 1936 Ford Dearborn cab-over conversion, but morphed into something else, something otherworldly. Something that ate hitchhikers with the cool nonchalance of a one legged seagull eating cold french fries in a Utility Burger parking lot. The world shall tremble at the tentacled terror called Monster Truck Monster!

I did official promotion picture for Classic Motor Show 2012, Lahti Finland. This is first time they use handmade illustration for this kind of purpose.
This years theme is defunct manufacturers Appearing vehicles: Triumph TR3 and BSA Goldstar 1961, local landmark is on the background. http://www.classicmotorshow.fi/

Good morning all, and congrats for the entries so far. Digital media, traditional media, clever use of daily tools, blends, gradients, it's all ART!
Nothing really new from me, just used my ready 3dmodels to create this kind of horizontal triptych, hope you like: ![]() ![]()

I always enjoy the show and all the different kinds of talent. Here are a few for this week. Jdustu I love the metal sculpture. It has a retro/futuristic combination I love.
For the interior shot I loved the use of a gauge cluster from a boat. My uncle had an old Master Craft with the same cluster.....cool.

Lots of truly amazing work guys and gal(!) keep 'em coming.
Janne, love that piece, I like those TR3s, you picked a beautiful angle to highlight it's best design features. The Trumpet looks great! Dan G.! Outstanding work! Ger, you too !! Jason, dig the dirt racer and the dirty dogs! themodelking, great coupe! can you post more, bigger shot of it on the Sunday Models thread this week end? More comments later... Here is the brainstorm that came to me last evening; working title: "White Knuckle Ride"

Great show everybody! I haven't posted in a while and I'm starting to push the portrait side of my business, so here goes.
These two were auctioned off at the "Pinstripe Legends" charity auction last weekend at the Milwaukee World of Wheels. For those of you who don't know, I'm fortunately a part of a national(and Canada) group of artists who get together every year and auction our artwork for the cancer ward at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. This is 11"x14" marker and colored pencil: ![]() Tramp Warner and I blasted this out. It's 24"x48" marker on gesso'd masonite:

Mask of misc parts, I built, and recently striped it. The eye has a small LCD screen that does a slideshow of artwork I've done, the other eye has my info magnified inside. The mouth has a fan that blows air at you, and the lower shoehorn thing has a light bulb which gives the whole piece a cool lighting effect. Hope you fella like it!

You are so prolific when it comes to creating these amazing little sculptures. It is always one of the highlights, at least for me, of FAS. Thanks for your nice comments too.

Muckin' around. Thought I'd show it. (front end change). FAIL. As they say, 'back to the drawing board'..

Jdustu - Dirt Road Cafe has good welding technique and the overall
design of the bike and the base may be your best yet. Good job. realkustom51 - customcory's shop floor scraps are great but your sketches are facinating. Your style shows an understanding for car parts. Maybe sometime I will build one of your sketches. Could we see more? |

Gary C - those streamliners are so f'n nice!
Steve (Spoggie) - your web site totally rocks!! So does most everything you do. BBB - WOW!!! Jigger - every one in your images alway seem to be having fun, which is yet another reason they are fun to look at. Wild Willy - those paintings are great - especially that deserted old Chrysler A32Flathead = Outstanding job on that flyer - I love partial color! NotRod13 - very cool! Great, inspiring stuff from everyone else too. |

A big word of thanks to Speedy Canuck, Bob,dmccraryart(Dan),cixpack, GER(especially) SpoggieandDan G. for the kind words of encouragement. Ger, I was just telling my wife
I should paint this one, maybe the whole " Brian Stormin' " series. I just might have to... Thanks to all the great artists of the HAMB for your contributions. It was another stellar week! Here's to our brethren in Detroit, to much success and prosperity! Get lots of pictures and, above all, get home safely. (That means you'll have to behave...) GaryC., too cool. Hot Rod Dirty's Nice Chevy bro. jaransont3, great work! Spoggie Steve, is it? I dig version 1. (2 is cool too.) Bo, You know I dig this one. Chopperman, I like 'em. Very unique way to display your reverence. GER Out of this world!!! mark schanfeldt WOW! amazing creations, sir. You too Neo Dutch cixpack, speechless... I absolutely love the direction you're heading and the mode you're in... robschwager very cool prints. Jen, I hope you get that reproduced for your business cards, it looks great! palat, camaro, beyond wowed by your 3D modeling skills. what programs are they? how big are the files? Is there any photo mapping involved at all or do you create the skins? MikePA beautiful work. The roadster jalopy is rich with personality and texture. I think it will become a subject in a drawing... (I may even swap out the tub in my drawing for this week, it really 'twins' the theme well.) realkustom51 greta to see some of your own creative work. Brilliant work from the studio of one, JohnnyJ thewildturkey46 beautiful illustration, did you do it or was it commissioned? Either way, we want more... Martin Squires interesting quality to these. They compliments your freehand sketches well. Tommy's Cycle love the first two in particular but great works all. LowCab!!! bernie, both are impressive pieces, so well done. You know I love your work!@ Rusty Cheese (sorry to hear that.) gret captuere of the one we'll call 'Wes." brett4christ You 'nailed' the V-8 in all it's glory. Nice, less is more, piece. (amazing symmetry) Wild Willy More stuff please. The first one really captures the look and feel of traditional ad work and that Olds is fantastic! eye bone amazing work man! Del Swanson, Steve looks lifelike, the hair has such a soft appearance. Great work both on paper and from the heart. God's blessings on both brotha! (love the one you and Tom ripped out) A32Flathead sweet! A32Flathead great stuff, esp. the center image, wow! Tom Davison, beautiful shot, man, what a location and what a great car! I'd keep going but I gotta get back to the drawing board. to those I missed previously and those going forth, thanks so much for contributing your talent!

Yep. That's Jesse (Navigator 23). Just turned 16 and busy as heck. I'm trying to get him to sell some of his striping work here on the HAMB to help finance his Falcon project. He really loves striping and gets better all the time. We owe a lot of thanks to the excellent guidance from oldbobsign and the rest of the Brushmasters. Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm a very proud Dad.

posts go without comment. I've always looked at this as an opportunity to share my work with like minded auto enthusiasts and artists. It isn't really a forum for critiques though many, like myself, welcome them but I try not to take the absence of comments personally or as a negative critique. To my way of thinking, the comments are just a bonus. I did take time to study your images and found 'em interesting. I especially like the idea of chopping up a rare, classic '56 Lincoln so that 'thumbnail really caught my attention. The Buick ute is cool as a concept and the photoshopping on the car is cool. With time,as you said yourself, and lots of practice, you can only improve. If that great looking silver Buick in your avatar is evidence of your metal skills, your talent is evident and it will get noticed Great show everyone, like I said earlier, thanks to ALL who contributed (Even if I didn't mention you personally !!!

Wow, some great stuff this week everyone !
What a copious display. I totally dig everyones submissions and im awe struck as usual by the sheer amount of talent that frequents this place on a weekly basis. I had an idea to toon up some of the ass kickin rides ive seen here on the HAMB and here is the first of a series of these I intend to do. I believe this derived from a pic I saw recently by the mega talented Dan Greenburg. Keep em comin folks !

Oh no, not a destruction of a Sabre! one of my favorite jets. It should be a Mig going down with the Sabre in the background.

Like what you have done with the background too. I cannot tell from this size image if it is sharp enough. BTW - you all should take a look at some of the wild stuff in the photoshop gallery in Bill's (TwoChops) profile. |

I'm glad the FAS is still up this morning. Usually Friday's are a busy day for me so it's "Hit & Run". Stellar work, by all, as usual. I appreciate everyone's contribution and love seeing new Folks bring their goods. Thanks again for all the partication.

Very cool sketch, glad you got this in on time.
My suspicion for why the show is still up is because our moderator is preoccupied by some car show in Detroit ... We should not take too much advantage of the situation and honor the intent of the "Friday" Art Show. if you have something to post, maybe you wanna save it for next week's show. But you don't have to listen to me, it's not like I'm the police or anything ... Hey, that gave me an idea ...

You going to tell me those front fenders aren't based on the Mark II? ![]() I like the version you just posted better(the one facing to the left) great proportions and a very cool roof. Also like the tail end and 'pontoon' relief lines. BTW, the front fenders on that last one remind me of modified '57 Ford jobs.

I have long been a lurker/fan of the Friday art Shows.
There are as many different styles as there are artists and various mediums depicted. Although, I expect accomplished renderings from the commercial artists, I appreciate the courage of each posting here. A poster has a tag line that pretty well sums it up. "It is not what you look at that matters, but what you see." I admire each post, although there are some more to my liking more than others. That is what art is about. Each person, regardless whether photography, pin stripping, drawing with pen and pencil, or using computer aided drqwing programs, can rest assured that while I do not post comments about your artistry, I do , never the less, enjoy each. Not to mention any names, but I especially appreciate the welding technique represented in Garage Art postings. Thank each and every one who posts their work for us all to enjoy.

Digital usage is in everything from the amazing photos we see to the transfer of tradition images that we buy on tshirts. An artist can create in any medium and produce spectactular art. I Appreciate a brush look and like my art with the drips included.

I should have, maybe I did, recognized your style Cargoyle! I really like this piece... like I'd mentioned on the 'burg, it reminds me of an old sketch of mine
tho I like how you've integrated later model styling and the 'fleetside' (get it?) unitized bed. I'd love to see this built. Here's mine:

Thanks rowie! Freehand airbrush & pinstriping are the two skills that gave me the most challenge to develop to a "pro" level… & I'm still not anywhere close to there w/my pinstriping! lol
Hey all! Good show! Some major good S#!t this week! Keep slingin'… whatever media floods your carburetor!
