No better way to open the show than with some Cory Vaughan's. Thanks Bro.
1) I got a concept drawing of my personal project, a '56 Holden. It'll be a low/no buck deal. 2) I was making up an ad to sell some parts. I saw a face image emerge, so I rolled with it. Kinda like the Dadaists I saw in Melbourne. His name?; 'Part- Boy'.

![]() The lead singer/writer for the band Blazing Haley asked me if I'd be interested in scratching the CD cover for his next solo effort. I said "Heck yeah, Matt Armor!" He told me to do what ever I wanted but it had to have his dog, a girl and his '53 Chevy in it. He dug it so much he asked if I'd want to do the back cover. "Heck yeah, Matt Armor", I said. So I better get back to work now. |

nice start fellers .sorry nothing strictly on topic from me this week. but they are both done in 1shot if that counts for anything. the first one is for my wife (said she wanted something to hang in the dining room) and the other two are a practice piece for a job i'm doing next week for a mate. my first paying job! well.... sort of, he's a chef and payed me in cake.

Thanks Fleet- Master, Jigger- cool to see folks diggin' the show.
Fleet- Master, I dig your posts. First drag race I ever saw, what did I see? Thuema & Leake cutting thru Super Stock at the '77 Adelaide Nats in a C/MS HK like the one you posted. Instantly hooked.. Jeff Norwell, love the dueces. Yesterday at hot-rod dude's Australia day barbie we saw Geoff (327) & Jerry's (390) choice dueces, now this..

Looking great so far!! Here is a fresh new acrylic painting I just completed this week. It is Joe Petrali on his record setting knucklehead.
On March 13, 1937, this EL Factory Streamliner established a land speed record, racing up to 136.183 miles per hour on the hard-packed sands at Daytona Beach, Florida. The speed run was conducted to promote Harley-Davidson's new "Knucklehead" engine. Harley racing team rider Joe Petrali was aboard the bike for the record run. Petrali left Harley in 1938 to join the team that helped Howard Hughes build the Spruce Goose airplane.
Hope you like, Nate Grice Will have prints for autorama ![]()

Thanks for the inspiration folks! I've been working on a Best of 2011 book for the last few weeks so hopefully once that's done I can get out and try to make some art with the camera instead of just grabbing some snaps like I've been doing lately. Thanks again!

Just finished this 47 Diamond T bobber truck about 2 months ago. My most detailed yet. Started with a 409 chevy mechanical injection made out of pipe fittings and wired with tig wire. Then built the cab with opening doors, gauges stainless visor, and gear shifter. Made the wheels on my lathe, and built the frame from some weird blades I found. It has full suspension that really works, that was a BITCH! The grill is made out of stainless pipe, a float and tig wire. The headlights are lug nuts, and the fuel tank is copper fittings to match the rear springs. Used twisted nails for wish bones and door handles. Front axle is stainless tubing drilled that also turns. This truck took me a year and a half to build, have been dreaming of building this in real life for awhile. Looking for a truck to start with right now. Oh yeah the tag says "FAHQ", sound it out. How you dig.

Here are a few I've been working on as of late...
The first is a cheapy plastic plate used each night as a warmup panel to get the brush working right, I just put one color down on this each night to warm up. ![]() The next is a panel sent to Cassandra Seth to auction this weekend in Pittsburgh for the Autism Society of Pittsburgh, hope they do well. ![]() This is my effort for John Wells and the Vintage Torque Fest this year, I'd like to introduce you to Polar Fink, seemed fitting since I'm typing from the great North! Lastly is a shot of both mine and my brother Ace with both of our Finks.....Thanks for the opportunity John, love working with you brother!

4 pages and only 6Am on the West Coast. Great show so far. I thought I'd post some progress photos of Dmitry's Bomb knob. It would have been done, today, but the Wimp's sick
I sketched this about a year ago, not exactly like the sketch but close.

Don't even know where to begin, way too many awesome things this week! I dig the rock n' roll and vintage bike vibe that appears to be going on this week.

I've been absent a bit recently due to my Mom's passing on December 7th. Yesterday I just found out I have cancer. It's in it's early stages (prostrate) and the doctor said it is quite treatable...

Thanks for your comments kenmo. Sorry to hear about your loss. The diamond t in your pics is what I made my sculpture after, only newer grille, same cab though. Wish I had one to start building my dream. Rusty

Here's is another item to share.
Kenmo- Sorry for your loss and for the bad news. Goodnews is that it was found early. I lost my Dad to lung cancer from working in a steel mill when he was younger. Cancer, if found can be treated so stay with it. I miss my Dad everyday and think back on all the carshows and races we went to. |

Last weekend, my grandfather and I were cleaning the garage, and stumbled across his old books from highschool. This is about all we found in the spiral labled "US HISTORY"! He would've been a senior around 1955...

A progression of a piece I did in Photoshop some time ago. I'm working on tractor pull t-shirt designs right now so nothing really new to post.
Sorry about the news Kenmo. Although everyone's different when it comes to cancer treatment and response, prostrate cancer has a good survival rate. It's important you feel good about your oncology team and have good communication. It's a heavy load on one's mind in the meantime. Best of luck. A lot of great pieces posted again this week. Great variety. Inspirational to say the least. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Last one is labeled "My Rod". Curious did it exist other than on paper and dreams, and did your grandfather continue drawing or building cars? Must have been a great finding this forgotten piece of family history.

I painted my beer fridge, did a flying heart on glass and pinstriped a friends truck. The actual striping took place on the hood but it was getting dark and the pic sucked.

First of all,
Everybody's stuff is really great this week - so much that I am not going to have time to compliment all of you individually, sadly, because you all deserve massive recognition... I ripped off a quick sketch on an envelope at lunch while waiting for my food.... then the other took a bit longer to pen up afterward... I call it "Carson Box" ![]()

COOP, those pictures are really great. I went to the open house at the Crow's nest, while out there last year.
What a great place. Those guys are all amazing and the shop makes you want to stay an be a part of it. You have captured the whole mood beautifully, thanks for the great memory. One more thing, regarding their character, I only met them that day and our visit was very brief but, when I ran into a couple of them, among the throngs at the GNRS, they not only remembered me but we picked up on conversation like old friends. This was equally true of the guys from Gambino's bye the way...

Paul ... Love the Rockin' Robot!
Thanks to all for your kind words about my stuff. Thanks Joe Lockwood for the cool car that inspired the doodle. The Dude in the doodle was very loosely based on the big guy in the movie 'The Wanderers" ("Leave da kid alone...") with a greaser twist ( and a little bit of Johnny B, Ah-hu-huh!)

Thanks for your comments. They are very appreciated.
At last count six cars are being built. Five of them were commissioned pieces and one was built from a concept that I posted here. I have another on the line. We'll see where that goes. But; thanks again!
