I mounted up new wide whites and freshly powder coated rims on the Buick today. The tires are Diamond Back 3" wide whites. I used original paint chips to match 56 Buick Seminole Red for the wheels. I think it matches up pretty good. Olympic Powder Coating did a great job on the wheels.

Here is a shot when I got the car, with thin whites and pink wheels

Here is a shot after the suspension rebuild and 3" lowered springs.

And here it is today with the new wide whites and red wheels.

I was planning on using repop 57 Lancer 4 bar caps but the valve stem holes are in the wrong spot. The stock Buick stem hole is really close to the edge of the hubcap. The lancer cap has the hole about 2" closer to the center of the cap. Are there valve stems adapters I can use to get them to line up or will they not fit the stock buick wheels? I was told these caps are universal and should work just fine. Any suggestions?

I think she looks like a million bucks with the Buick caps & the red wheels. Nice combination with the pink & white. I think this is one of my favorite Buicks I've seen. Nice work!

Yes, Those are really nice caps, but I really wanted a custom look, rather than using stock caps. I was considering running the stock 55 caps with a bullet center.

That is one sweetheart of a 56! I got to say I really go for the wide whites and red wheels. The nice thing about hubcaps is you can change the whole look of the car in 15 minutes. I like the old standards, 56 Olds spinners, 57 Caddys, moons, or you might try 50-51 Buick or 54 Buick wheel covers. Again, love that Century!

  12. Wow your '56 is beautiful! I can't wait to get my '55 put together. The '55 Roadmaster hubcaps are pretty cheap, well not as cheap as the stock Century ones. I paid $5 a piece for mine lol!

Thank you guys. The 3" lowered spring did the trick on the stance. I would like it better with another 1" out of the front but it is low enough as it is.

  18. I am a Ford Guy, BUT would kill for a Tri Year Buick. Those hubcaps look great with a bullet in the center where the Buick badge is. If you need to unload those Hubcaps send me a PM.

That is so sharp man, love that car. Chevrolet called the four door hardtops, sport sedans! They are really elegant and the whites and red rims and stock flipper caps are spot on. You gotta get a bunch of thumbs up when driving that beauty. Thanx for showing that off. My brother has a 56 tu-door post we are getting on the road soon, can't wiat. ~sololobo~

I like the Lancers better than the stockers...and personally, I'd vinyl the center of the caps with either the Pink of the body or the Red of the rims...black isn't doing the caps any favors...good looking Bui...

Here's a shot of my Olds caps with vinyl on them...use automotive type vinyl and it won't come off for years...

Thank you everyone. I appreciate it. I am planning on doing some custom paint work. My current thought is to do a Panel job on the white sections in a Rosetta Pearl. When I do that I will paint the center of the caps white with Rosetta Pearl to match the panels.
