This shot is from Mcminnville in 1960, if you go back (1) page on Mr. Model T's post there was a Flathead powered roadster for sale $650. This is the same car, I am not sure of the order but it was "Norton- Marion", "Norton-Kalivoda", and finally Dick Kalivoda. Last I saw it is in the NHRA Museum, Dick brought it out of retirement in the 80's and raced it at the Seattle "Nostalgia" races.

Too bad this shot is so far back, mac 1960, the soon to be "Orange Crate", Bud Kennedy's Sports car (Injected Chrysler Hemi), and Ron Gorans streamliner. Real northwest history, all in one frame.

I might have missed it, but does anyone remember "Old Gold"? A very consistent 38 Chevy Sedan.

Maybe Old Gold was a 39. Couldn't remember. I lived in Hillsboro for 37 years and had seen it often at Woodburn. Thanks.

LOVE this! Hey Mr. Model T, ever hear of the Headers of Portland? I have a club shirt from about the late 1950's or 1960's?

A couple more from Mac, 1960. The rear engined roadster belonged to Tom Delong, Packard powered, looks like he has changed his rear tires and he is ready to "flat tow" it back to Portland. No info on the sports job. The white 34 coupe in the background is Jim Hoxit's "Goofin Off".

The "Headers" sound familiar...but I don't think I know for sure. Can you post up a pic of the shirt? Might be able to find something on them.

As promised, here are a few of the 43 priceless color images of the very early days at Scappoose. I finally got them scanned and though some were not really savable, here are some of the best that I could save.
The soon to be "Orange Crate" in it's earliest configuration.. Tom Delong's '32 Roadster....
