Looks great so far! Looking forward to more pics as you progress! Mid 30's cars of all makes (especially coupes!!!) have great looking lines.

I used those same fat fender Chevy headers from Speedway on my Austin build. They fit perfectly inside my narrow Austin's fenders!

Happy New Year, thanks for the thread, im in the process of collecting parts for my 36 P2,your looks great as a gasser, i would do the same but it has a 3" chop and i dont think it would look rite as a gasser, my plans at this point is to build a mid to late 60s fuel coupe. keep up the great work

Very cool to be able to photoshop in the tailights, and they do look good on the coupe! My friend/neighor is building a 1935 Plymouth coupe gasser. He also is going with Chevy power, but using a 454 with single carb tunnel ram. Narrowed Ford 9", Muncie 4 speed. He's not as far along as you are. I'll have to give him the link to your post here so he can see what you've got going for inspiration!

  21. I was trying to study your car by your avatar but couldn't really get a good enough look. Thanks for posting the big pictures and the cars stance looks tough as nails. What rims are you going to run on it ?

Subscribed. This is an incredible build. Good luck.

  23. Hey...you are on it......great......just read through the whole thread and congrats on the build....it is coming along nicely......doing a 38 Chevy coupe myself in gasser mode and they certainly parallel in style.......you gotta love the 37.....38 looks of the coupes ridin' high......I actually like these cars better than the Willy's.....I think because of the saturation point of seeing the Willy's done in street rod mode.......too low.....too fat.....too billet.....too tweed....well just too Street Rodded:eek:......and I guess I could catch flack for that but just my opinion. No offense to those owners as I appreciate everybody's builds and ownership. On your car........ keep up the build and good work and ideas. :)

  24. Killer thread and a bitchin' car! Nice simple at home build! Right on, good details. I will be watchin this for sure.
Were lookin for an off brand coupe to build right now too...
    Happy New Year!

  25. Those "wooden wheels" are pretty traditional, though, not "period correct". "The stuff" you're talking, I think the carpenter's call it "black iron" or something like that.....& no, I'm not a carpenter, but a union iron worker by trade & see it on the job also. Keep the pics coming.
