There is still some frustration and confusion regarding posting of pictures. hope this will help. If something I have written is confusing let me know and I will try to re-write it in a clearer fashion.
To Post to the HAMB's Server 1. click on reply 2. scroll down below the area reserved for text responses. 3. find the " manage attachments" gray box and click it 4. browse your hard drive for a picture(s) and then hit upload 5. after a short wait for uploading - click submit reply If your pictures are less than 80kb's each you will see your pictures in the post. If you attached pictures that are too big you will see an empty image box....re-size your pictures and try again. Next we need a tutorial on resizing and options for software. To Post by linking a photo from another website 1. click on "user cp" pull down menu 2. click on "edit options" 3. scroll down to the bottom of the page to " miscellaneous options" 4. change selection to " enhanced interface full WYSIMYG editing " 5. now you can post links to pictures from other webpages and hosted sites. 6. to post a picture link hit reply to post 7. above the area to type a message are many icons. Select the icon and then type in or paste the address of the picture. an example would be the address for the above icon. right click it and select properties. copy and paste the address given under properties. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...insertimage.gifLinking pictures has many benefits. It doesn't use up HAMB bandwidth and slow down Ryans server. You can post a much larger and prettier picture with a link. There is no 80kb limit.

If you are posting on the HAMB server you will have to do multiple postings ( ie. one picture and test then submit and then the next... ect. ) and put your text before each picture.... you've seen guys asking people not to post until they are finished...thats why..... pm-ing you about nuther somthin

Test, and an example of what the text is that you can manually write in to make an image come up that is hosted on another server -
(Dontcha hate smart assed FNG's?) ![]() The downside to geocities as a host for your stuff, is that they get saturated on weekends and it might be hard to login there sometimes. Other than that - they're real easy to deal with. Once you get used to the tags for pictures and stuff, its faster to just type it on out. All that nifty blue and red text up there? Its a .gif picture I made so that I could show the exact markings, and not have the forum try to just put up a picture like it would if I tried to type it out. Is your picture uploaded somewhere?
If it is, type the address of it, just the straight up web address, and I'll make a demo out of how to make it show here. Trust me Bro - I won't leave you hangin'. I will get you to where you can post any pic, anyplace. "The simple ways are always better" - and yeah, I know a lot about this shit. I had to because of my friggin job over the years. |

www.putfile.com (Can post videos and sounds too) www.cardomain.com (Car Domain is easy to link from, but they paste a logo in the bottom right of pics hosted from their server) - lots of others. I'll look around some... |

Keep in mind...some sites prohibit hotlinking (if you don't know what hot linking means -- click this link to get more info what HOT LINKING is: http://altlab.com/hotlinking.html ) so which you would see red X and if that happens, just save that picture where you found from and upload images on http://imageshack.us

Howdy folks...
Just cleaned this one up so you don't have to page through so many test posts. The goal is to make pic posting and testing as easy as possible. Stay tuned as I add links to other info. This is a work in progress..... Other posts that may help...
