NOTE: Do not reply to this thread unless you are experiencing this problem. PLEASE.

The problem: When you click on a thread, you are automatically scrolled down to the bottom of the page. Sometimes the back button on your browser doesn't work. Sometimes it does work. Sometimes, the back button takes you to a porn site.

How it happened: A cookie has been placed on your browser that is taking over your actions. This cookie has not been passed by our site. We have checked every line of our code this morning. It could have been passed in a couple of different ways:

    1. You clicked on a spam post in the forum before we caught and deleted it. The site you went to added the cookie.

    2. You were on another site that is targeting us due to our traffic.

The swine responsible for this cookie is getting paid by the porn site for the traffic they drive there. That's the motive of these bastardly cowards.

How to get rid of it: You need to delete your cookies... To do so:

    - Internet explorer directions here.

    - Firefox directions here.

    - Safari directions here.

If you are pretty good on computers, you can just delete the offending cookies. To do so, just search your cookies and look for anything related to livejasmin.

    ........

Once that is done, your problem is solved. If you continue to have problems or if the cookie reappears, please let me know.

    Ryan,

I had this same problem... twice. Deleting cookies did NOT fix it.

It's NOTHING to do with the HAMB at all. It's almost certainly the latest of a variety of viruses, a criminal group out of Eastern Europe was just nailed in a $14 MILLION dollar scam.

Here's what happens, these clowns, who certainly are into OT cars and Billet and think 24" wheels look good on a Deuce, infect your computer with a virus, what happens is that the virus basically hijacks your browser and redirects your clicks to referral sites, these guys have affiliate accounts setup which are pay per click. The Virus then hijacks your browser into clicking these links. Several of these viruses either change based on your browsing history, OR they use "trigger" words. If any of ya have something like Websense at work, these work pretty much the same way.

Unfortunately some of them can be a real bastard to get rid of, last time I had to use combofix.exe (google it) as the virus, whistler.0, had infected the boot sector of my hard drive... real nasty stuff.

I have the logs and stuff at home if you want I can post more about how to fix it, and if this is OT I do apologize and feel free to delete it.

Sorry these assholes caused ya aggravation...

Please do. And let me know if it fixes the issue.

I'd bet 90% of the folks seeing this issue are using ie7.

    Ryan,

I'm am now getting this weird problem that when I go to log in, I get this message alert page as attached. But, if I just go click back onto the home page, it indicates that I am actually now logged in OK. Benign problem or a-hole scammers trying to grab login info maybe?

I have gone through and cleared all my cookies, cache and browser history multiple times including manually dumping the relevant user folder info.

BTW, I am on a 24" Imac using Safari and all up to date software 10.6.8. Same thing with Firefox.

Haven't seen the livejasmine cookie come back since this morning though.

I had that problem -- but it seems to have gone away by itself -- without my deleting cooking
I did look in my file of cookies (using Win7) and did not find the one listed
    Using IE8 and Chrome
    Thanks

I had this Jasmin crap pop up after I closed out the HAMB- computer has been acting weird lately. All I need is for my girlfriend to think that I'm cruising porn on her cpu. I am running firefox by the way. Thanks for the tip and I will try to see if it is in my cookies.

Contrary to what might have been said on the thread, if you delete the cookie the problem should be resolved.

Thank you Ryan for jumping on this problem so fast........it is much appreciated.

As a side note, a member on another forum put me on to Microsoft Security Essentials about a year ago and I have had NO problems with viruses or anything since downloading it. It is free and I get popups pretty often telling me they have detected something fishy so I can elect to clean the computer when that happens. I can't tell you how many times it has saved me, plus you can do full scans that take about 5 hours and check for problems that way. I can't recommend it enough........and it is FREE ! :D

livejasmine cookie problem seems to be solved, but still having the "invalid_redirect_url_x" issue as noted above. Somewhat annoying, but I guess it is just me. Click response time seems to be extra slow at the moment as well.

  15. Same set-up & problem as stude_trucks.

Firefox lets me not allow third-party cookies, so I don't allow third party cookies....maybe this is a good thing?

Thanks for your efforts on this, but I've deleted my cookies several times, which is pain for the other sites I use, but still get scrolled to the bottom of the page when I come here. Something else still not right?

You fellas must have some kind of persistent cookie. I bet this will help you:

No... It's not that sophisticated. It's just a cookie... You were logged out because we upgraded security this morning.

Hi Ryan just logged out and tried logging back ...still get invalid_redirect_url_x everytime. Also get logged off automatically if I don't 'stimulate' my mouse on the site for as little as 30secs. Frustrating when typing a reply at my non-lightning speed!! :D

Same issue as fleet master. If I exit out of all of the hamb pages I have, i have to log back in. I press remember me and yet again... tada, another log in. It is all good, I can deal, but if you could get around to it?... that might be nice. :D

Have you tried checking the history of all of the members that are experiencing the problem to see what thread they have in common. The required memory for that thread should be higher than any one elses and if there is a thread without pictures, just a link (or maybe no link at all) that is taking up the memory of a build thread with lots of pictures, that is your criminal..... Or maybe we just brought fate in with all this "Can't have nice things," talk.

If you are getting logged out, simply clear your cookies and temp internet files and then log back in. That "problem" is not related to this. Your browser's memory is just full...
