I bought it at the SoCal Speed Shop open house the night before the LA Roadster show. I wasn't planning on buying another car anytime soon but this one just looked so bitchin sitting there and it was a good deal too. With a few beers in me and a bunch of my friends egging me on, I couldn't resist. It's a stocker with Fenton headers and dual exhaust. Lowered with 15" steelies and radial tires. And it has a brand new black T&R interior.
Here's Mine! Found in the woods. Doors are not rusted out nor are the floors, trunks, or rockers. I also have a frame that I got from Hubnut that is set up for sbc, th350, mustang II. I have a 9 inch from a 57 merc too. I also have 2 hoods, 3 dashes, 3 sets of front fenders, 2 sets of rears, 3 trunks two of which are perfect, 2 sets of doors and more. I'll have lots of extras in a few months unless I stumble across a coupe body I can use the extra stuff on. I'll be running a 283 and either a pglide or th350. That's all I got. Tim
Nope. Plan is to have a gray body with blueish/green tint to it. I have painted the 283 chevrolet blue. Need a edelbrock c3b. Have a 57 cad air cleaner. Blue/Green original seats and door panels, matching dash, wheels. This is my lobuck project. Beg, borrow, steal, trade. I did buck up for mustang II rotors, calipers, bearings, and brackets. I don't know the original gray but I want it close to what is on the firewall. More blue than green in the tint. Or maybe flat black with red wheels. Not. Tim
I like the look of yours a lot. Nice stance, nice wheel & tire combo, I like the copper paint to. What are your plans for it?
Thanks, epinut. I'm quite happy with the stance as it sits now. The strange thing is that it looks higher in the photo than how it looks in real life. Images can be deceiving, or my perception. The paint is a sloppy cover-up someone did way back, and needs to be redone. I kinda like it though so I will repaint it in a brighter shade to make it more coppery, most likely with flattener in it. I'll run the old flatty for a season or so, then switch it for an OHV8. A slightly narrower rear end. Pleated vinyl interior. Basically a typical driver in a '59-'62 era style.
Hey chrisman, nice to see a rear shot of it. Seems you've got a excellent plan for the future too... I'm totally into late 50's - early 60's style, so this is just my kind of thing!
