Any one not in Newstead Victoria this weekend MISSED OUT!!!!! Just a few photos to start with. Thanks heaps to Ryan and crew for what is with out a doubt Australias best show. I got the 46 to the show for a shakedown and had a blast! Dirt drags rule.
I'm sure someone took some shot of the drags. Personaly i did'nt because every time i was near the strip i was going down it!
we had a fricken ball! Best chopped show yet. Heres a couple pics, took nearly 900, wasnt even going to bring the camera this year! My 50 ford isnt finished so I borrowed the old mans coupe for the weekend, seemed to like going sideways! Des got his spinner going and looked incredible! Real nice proportions, check out his build thread on here (el batidor del mono). The chicken olds! My personal highlight for this year was sneaking onto the track doing donuts at 1:30am with seven of us in it haha. olds-mo-beeeeeeeel! Anothony's killer 2 lane blacktop inspired 55 getting some sideways action. Sounded on song!
I thought I took a film of my time in Doug's A-speedster but it was on the wrong frinkin' function, so all I have got is memories. To all those who wouldn't brave a little rain - suffer
i dream of the day that my pile of bits transform magically into a car then l can cruise down to newstead. Hope the weather turned out ok Thanks for the photos
Made the trip up to Newstead today and got a few pics and a fair amount of footage as well. Will put together a short film at some stage, but for the moment here a couple of my pics
ffffuuuuuuucccccckkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how the hell did i forget this was on?????? i'm gonna go cry myself to sleep now
Great event, full marks to Ryan for giving us something special! The dirt drags are addictive, can't wait till next year!
Whoops, searched but missed this post! My photos here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=631458
Had to work on the Friday and Saturday, but a few of us cruised up on Sunday Morning. Had a great day, and am definitely putting in for holidays next year, so I can camp for the whole thing. My car even got into a few photos, so my wife has proof I was there and not holed up in some pub for the day.
