Bob Drake Ranchero Gas Tanks

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Oldmics, Sep 5, 2011.

  1. I just wanted to document the fact that the replacement gas tank from Bob Drake that fits the 57-59 Rancheros and Edsel station wagons is not a straight ahead bolt in replacement when installed into an Edsel wagon.

I"m not bitchin ! I"m thankfull that Bob does pop these items.

Fuel lines have to be lengthened and moved and the tank support straps have to be shortened.

Old fuel gauge sending unit was accurate in the new tanks cavity.

Like I said-no big deal but I thought the folks considering this replacement tank should know what they are getting into.

Uh oh. I bought a good used one from off of a '58 Edsel Wagon to use in my '58 Ford wagon.
