We are NOT making any CLAIMS so don't get your panties in a bunch . We do think Keith went pretty fast in his street legal , still street driven y- block powered three window . He had a 175 limit this year so he went 175.539 . Ted Eaton of lorena Tx built the engine and came along to help dial it in .
We know that many hambers are knowlegable so lets hear about other y-blocks that were / are faster

My first thought was Doane Spencer and his T-Bird. But I checked... He took the car to Bonneville twice in near street trim, turning 149.53 mph in 1961, and 166 mph in 1966.

175.539 is damned fast in a bona fide street car. Add in the facts that it's a 56 year old engine design, pushin a car with the aerodynamics of a concrete block and it becomes very impressive.

That is moving for a street driven hot rod with any engine. There has to be a landspeed historian out there with a list of top speeds run by Y blocks and probably most other engines.

There is a photo of a cake on his build thread that says congrats 127mph and that is hauling the mail with a Y block in that big box.
First day
From what I could find the yellow F100 didn't run this year. At least the number it carries didn't run this year.
