Default Need info on Hi boy spindles for a 1955 chevy

I have two sets of them. They are 6 1/2 inches taller then stock. Im just wondering what they are worth

They still have the backing plates on them. One set i found in the trunk an the other set is still on the car.

There were some on a '57 Nomad I had years ago, I thought they were hokey and home-made (and dangerous!). I took them off and pitched them. I'm a dumba$$.

yep thats it they were called hike ups. built by bobby brown in okc...(classic chevy on north potland avenue

There was a guy in Northern California making those spindles in the '60s, "Al's Automotive". A guy I knew had a '55 Chevy with them on it, an ill-handling ride above 45 MPH. (some negative caster)
His pal had a '69 Charger that had been 'raised up' the same way.

Another friend of theirs had a '55 Chevy 210 that had 6" pieces of 3/4" galvanized pipe 'spacers' above the frame at the body mounts! You could see daylight thru the space between the body and frame as he drove by.
He touted his cleverness at 'Being all raised up' with the stock ride.

That 'spindle trick' is like the Scottish Pole balance. Ride-along lawn mowers use that geometry for their front spindles.
A good tube axle makes way more sense.

I found out there was a guy selling these over on the trifive web site for 500$ a pair. which i know i will never get that out of these.
