I have had two cars hauled with Rick and he did a fantastic job.
He was busy when I called him so we put it on the schedule for about 4 weeks out. When the time rolled around he was spot-on with everything he said including his pick up and deliveriy times. His prices were fair and both vehicles were handled with care and arrived safely. The hauls were from upper Michigan to Califorina and back to the same place in Michigan. EXCELLENT!! |

Rick is the man if you need any car hauling.
Great communication and delivery in that minute he said. Brought my ´30 sedan project from Boston to FL , and extra engines and parts was no problem. Next delivery is on the works. Give him a holler , you won´t regret that you did. Ari |

Rick did a fantastic job for me on two different hauls. He hauled a custom 51 Merc chassis from SoCal to GA and a another Merc down the East Coast. He is polite, prompt, cost-effective, and timely in my opinion. Did a great job for me and always gives me quotes when asked...and I seem to be asking alot these days.

I've just relocated from the Atlanta area to Gainesville, Fla., and Rick handled moving my '56 Chevy. He was great: good service, responded promptly to phone calls and emails, great rate and very personalized handling.
I was gone the day Rick arrived with the car, but it was in the driveway when I got home, just as my wife discussed with Rick. I'd use Rick again in a heartbeat and I recommend him highly to everyone. |

I contacted Rick recently about bringing my 1930 Ford Model A pickup out to Phoenix from Jason Graham's shop in Portland, TN. He arranged to pick it up on the exact date I requested and arrived as promised. He made the 1,800 mile trip in one straight shot, arriving in Phoenix just two days later. We unloaded the truck at my home in Phoenix just as it left. There wasn't even a fingerprint on it let alone any damage. I would definitely recommend him for anything you want transported. If I need another car shipped, I wouldn't even think of calling anyone else. Thanks Rick!

Rick recently completed a haul for me, picking up my crated engine from West Sacramento and delivering it to Kansas.
My engine was nicely handled and I was kept well informed with good communication at all stages of the trip. I would certainly consider using Rick again for a similar job. |

Rick has transported two cars for me in as many years. He is always on time and communicates very well and always lets you know what to expect. He is a man of integrity and good common sense which is not very common today.
Thanks Rick, for acting on short notice and in a very timely manner. Tim |

I would also like to endorse Rick. Rick recently took on a job with a twist for me leaving his SC base to collect 2 old cars in WI & MN to be delivered to Bakersfield in CA. The twist was collecting me, a New Zealander for the cross country trip. This could have easily gone bad but Rick readily agreed, was 5 minutes of his ETA collecting me in Indy with a 2 car enclosed trailer for the ride and after 5 days of hard travel, tall stories and some good cross country breakfasts we were still talking. Thankfully we had similar values, the trip went well and we even found time for collecting a couple of extra items and having a tourist day. Great communication, great common sense with cars and the transporting of them, sticks to his price and a willingness to do a bit extra if requested or required if it can work. Just a good man with a passion for old midgets/modifieds and hot rods.
Thanks Rick, i do appreciate it, hope you're enjoying some time off. |

I found out about Rick here on the HAMB. The good reviews are spot on. Rick kept in contact the whole time. The haul was from Iowa to California, and as soon as he had two vehicles, he was here in three days. Great guy, great professional.

Rick just delivered my wife's new 1957 Tbird project car from Ca. He kept in touch with me and the person I bought the car from. He picked the car up when he said he would and delivered it right on time. This was a partialy assembled project and he had no problems with it. He seems to be a great guy, a real gear head too. The man really enjoys his work.

I highly recommend calling Rick for any of your hauling needs. He's a REAL car guy and understands what it takes to transport these treasures correctly. Rick delivered my new dragster last weekend. From Kansas to Massachusetts he kept me informed of his progress, arrived right on time and not a scratch on my new car. Good price too!

I'd also would like to endorse Rick Powell. I had an odd ball Basket case with a non running Roller to pick up in Indy and to haul to Mass. It took him the exact time he told me to get to it and less time than I expected to get it to me. On The delivery day he called me in the morning with a 15 minute window when he would arrive in the afternoon and he got here right in that 15 min. time frame. He not only hauled the car but the rest of it packed in Boxes and The Windshield and back Window . Everything arrived Safely. If I ever have to move anything else ,I'll be calling Rick for his Excellent Service. He is also a Great Guy and great to do busness with.

I have heard story after story about bad shippers. I can't say enough good things about Rick. He calls when he says he is going to call. Shows up when he says he is going to show up. Charges what he says he is going to charge. If you want a car guy who cares about your car - then you have to have Rick do your shipping. Hands down the best. I would recommend him to anyone!!!! THANK YOU RICK!!!!

The car I bought is very special to me and he treated it like it was very special to him too. Its nice to have a car guy handle cars.

I would like to give Rick a huge THANK YOU!!! I contacted him about hauling a 1957 Chevy wagon I had purchased in Rhode Island to me in Texas. He provided what I thought was a very competitive price quote and rough outline of when he would be able to pick up the car. I liked what I heard and signed the contract.
Long story short, when Rick heard that Hurricane Sandy was going to hit the northeast and that my car was 6 blocks from the beaches of RI, he took it upon himself to contact me and offer to rearrange his entire schedule so that he could get my car picked up before the storm hit. He went above and beyond and literally saved my car from a Hurricane. Thank you Rick. I could not be happier with your services. |

Rick just shipped my 60 Eldorado Seville from South Carolina to Texas - hands down the best auto shipping service I've used. If you need a quote, shoot him an email:

I used Rick to haul my 1927 fiberglass roadster. I was having trouble with the builder and Rick was able to get to his shop and get my vehicle before the builder changed his mind. Rick did this on only a cuople of days notice. He then secured my vehicle for me and brought it to Las Vegas for me. I have used him in the past and he always delivers. Feel secure when using him.

Rick picked up my '64 GTO here in So Cal to take her to VA. Friendly and professional, Rick is a true car guy (has a nice personal collection) and will take great care of your car all the way from loading it up to unloading it at the destination.
Best to use someone who truly loves and knows the value of one of these old rides, rather than take a chance on someone who is just a truck driver. Thanks Rick. Bart |

I would like to thank Rick Powell [racinman43@yahoo.com] for safely transporting a car I purchased from California and delivering it to my front door in Virginia. This was my first time transporting a car across country and it went great. Thanks Rick.

Great service from Rick. He transported a pair of 51 Merc bumpers from Riverside, CA to me in GA on the way to FL. Always a pleasure to do repeat business with Rick.
Thanks Rick, Rob, and Matt for your consideration!

Absolutely the best! Rick just delivered my '36 from Sacramento to Florida. What a pleasure it was to have a trustworhty car guy haul the car. This man's honesty is above reproach. At the pickup site Rick made sure I was receiving all the extra parts that belonged with the car, included were several high priced items I was unaware of. Rick could have just as easily kept these items for himself. He didn't!!
I decided to use Rick for this haul after reading all the positive referals on the Barn and Hamb, I figured all these guys couldn't be wrong. They weren't! Use this man! |

Rick, just got done unloading two cars at my house in Kansas. Rick worked with me, over email since I am currently in Afghanistan, and got not one but two cars delivered to my house. One car was in CT and he took extra car loading it to not damage the front end, being long and slow, and fiberglass. The second car was in Georgia from an estate sale. Along with the two cars there was big crate box with a windshield and two hoods for the cars. Rick did a great job communicating with both previous owners, myself, and my roomate and got everything without a hitch. He went the extra mile and was patient while I worked on transfering the money from a deployed location.

Rick just dropped my '57 Chevy Pickup in Chicago from Texas. He even pulled over under a bridge to avoid a hail storm leaving his truck in the open. Will definitely use him again.

Rick did a second job for me and I could not be happier. He does exactly what he says he will, his prices are fair, he keeps you informed and is on time. Not many guys left anymore who do what they say they will do. He treated the Bantam roadster as if it was an $80,000 '32 roadster, which it is not. Took just as much care to be sure that it did not sustain any more damage than it already had as he will take with YOUR $80,000 '32. Use him for your transport! He is a car guy!
