Alright carb gurus I am in need of your knowledge. I have a 1955 Ford with a 292. When I bought the car it already had the 3x2 intake and carbs but was only working on the primary carb and sec. were blocked off. There weren't even any internal components in the carbs. I just recently rebuilt the motor and got two working carbs for my secondaries. This is my first time working with multiple carbs. I am trying to figure out where I need to start with tuning these and getting them running good. My heads have been ported and polished and I have a little bit of a hotter cam. I misplaced my cam card though so I can't remember my exact specs on the cam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you were to buy a 3x2 conversion vintage speed they come with .o51 jets for the primary and .050 for the secondarys Thats what I put in mine they are for a 302 but I have not used them yet. what size carbs do you have ? .94, 1 , or 1 1/6"- I have a 1 1/6" primary and 1" for secondarys

  7. Im not trying to hi jack your thread just trying to get some answers that we both will benefit from. So I am gonna have to go ahead and bump this. I have a 56 ford 2dr sedan with a 292 yblock/ford o matic that i will also be putting a tri power on. Well what would be the best holley 94 or equivalent ford carb or stromberg. Whats the best jet sizes. Is there anything else we should know for this set up?

    Thanks Deuces.

Mastergun I have 1 1/16 carbs front to back. I thought I had read somewhere .054s in all of them. All the spare jets I have are .059. The only place where I live that keeps Holley jets is the machine shop I work at and we are closed til next Tuesday. It sucks.

I use 3 Ford 1956 vintage carbs with .055 jets in all 3 with progressive and no problems.

Beside jetting what else works well is using a #6.5 power valve in the middle carb and #2.5 power valves in the secondary carbs. N.N.

I would normally block the sec. power valve and just up the jet size 6 to 8 sizes. Makes tuning a little easier.

Now for my Question.... Do Holley 94 carb jets interchange with the one's from a regular Holley 4-bbl carb??? The smallest I've seen for the Holley 4's are size 64 or bigger..

Regular jets will fit, but the 64 and larger is normally to fuel for a 94.

I have three 94's,I run 51's /sea level. I just want to say: you can buy anthing for a holley 94 at: Vintagespeed.com. You can also buy parts for that other 3 bolt carb. Please look at:
