here are links to the past 2 years http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=373325 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=486329 Well it was that time of year again, time for the guy trip. My son and I as well as a bunch of friends getting to hang out for a weekend. Ithought we weren't going but at the last minute we decided to go for 2 days instead of 4 as my mom is sick and I didn't want to be away for that long. My son really wanted to go but he knew we might not be able to. He is 7 years old now. my father in law and my brother in law as well as some old friends and one of thier grandsons went as well. I went to the meet and greet and met some old friends for the first time and that was great ( as well as some of denise's cookies) a good time was had by all. we got wet but we didn't melt this year so it was a tradeoff. well enough with the talk so here come the pics. 1st mine 2nd my sons and i will add more as i get them from my amigos
more pics. i was part of the golf cart brigade. my friend rented one for the event because he only has 1 leg and i needed it also because i screwed my knee up 2 weeks ago and can't walk
Enloe, Sorry that i didn't get to spend much time with you and your son this year. There was alot going on with all the racing. I don't know if you've heard but Freddy Bear won the AA/GS class with the K.S. Pittman car. We are all so proud of him. It was his first time winning a national event. I don't think his feet are touching the floor yet. Thank god it wasn't as hot as years past. I actually got to walk around and see things this year. Wanda
It was a pleasure as always. We had to cut out early this year but hopefully we will be there for the long haul next year
Great pics and your son is quiet the photographer and has great taste in cars especially to be only seven.
I did weed out a few "rusty hot rods " that he likes. I am trying to steer him toward the nice and well crafted versus the unsafe and cobbled together stuff.
