One of the cars that was built during the reign of
the Detroit custom car builders, The Alexander
Brothers, was this 58 Ford known as "PERFIDIA"
I have not seen many pics of this car, and would
like to see more if they are out there.

I like it. I'll check some of my little pages and see if I come across it. When was it built? Did you check Riksters site?

Spill the beans, do you own it now? Maybe you know where it's at...

I love your A bros built '57 by the way.

I believe that was owned by Tom Biles from Buffalo/Tonowanda, NY.

Tom Biles was one of the original members of NSRA and went on to become a state representative and then onto, I believe, the show coordinater for the eastern states. Tom had several cars that were all of show caliber including a '34 Ford 3-wdw and a '34 Ford tudor sedan. Tom retired from his duties at NSRA just a few years ago. Tom was and is a great guy.

The last I knew he was in the Jamestown, NY area, after spending some retirement years in Florida from his job as a firefighter, and was piloting a '40 Ford coupe. Tom, if you're still out there, Norton says "Hi!"

This car is living in Utica New York. Guy by the name of Phil Durrante has owned it for many many years. Last time I saw it Phil wanted the car fixed to try to make the A Brothers get together at the Detroit Autorama. The car is rusted out behind all the lead work and is very rusty. It was too far gone to get done in the time period before that show so he put it back into storage. If he is still alive I would say he still has it. Phil would never sell anything.

Initially, I was going to say no, but having just seen brownsmetals response, I am thrilled to see that Perfidia is still with us, although in somewhat sad and neglected shape. Unfortunately, I so not know how to get in touch with Tom, or I would contact him to let him know of this development.

Does anyone else know how to get in touch with him. I'm certain he would have a mountain of info to share...

Thanks for the update brownsmetal! I'm glad to hear that the car is still around! It would have been fun to see some recent photos of the car as it sits today.

And Dave, those photos of Bob's Chevy are really nice!!

Beautiful car. I remember seeing that car in some mag back in the day. That grille just makes that car.

A guy named Paul Gill owned Perfidia in the 80's and 90's... It sat for years in his driveway on Rt.5 in Woodlawn. It was pretty rough then. He was gathering parts to put it back together... He bought the Convertible trim chrome from my Uncle Leo Murphy... I remember them saying how hard it was to find them in decent shape... We had just finished Uncle Leo's 1957 Fairlane in Creamsicle and White, Continental kit. "Lost in the 50's" , Marylin, Elvis and James Dean airbrushed on the tire cover.
