I have always liked that custom and was wondering where it is and who owns it. I read that it might be in south Florida. Since I live in south FL I was hoping I could get to see it in real life one day. Thanks. Here's some info. http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=Fred_Rowe's_1951_Mercury
2009 It was shown at Amelia Island Concours, it was then owned by the brothers Robert & Paul Milhous and was a part of their extensive collection in Boca Rato. At the same show it was for sale, but I have no idea if it was sold or not.
We tried to get the Rowe Merc for the GNRS Customs Then & Now... but they where not interested. I think its still in the museum... but I have no idea if this is open to the public or not.
I know Bill Layman from Pa,found and restored the car, than it was sold to Kirk White, who also lived in Pa,and had a home in Fla.I guess Kirk had sold it.
I found something more! It is still in the Milhous collection but the entire collection is up for sale at RM auctions in February 2012. The Mercury is at page 12 in the folder. http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/a155956a#/a155956a/1
