Always look forward to the Drags!... Only a few short months away! Planning on driving my Roadster to Bonneville about nine days before the drags, back to Omaha for a couple days, then down to Joplin. Should be an awesome 3,000+ miles in less than two weeks. I can't wait! Malcolm
Hey Ryan, For the benefit of us newer members, where in what state is this event going to be held? What's the nearest city that's likely to have motels we'd want to stay in? When does the track open and close on event days? Is there freeway and airport access nearby? Which one(s)? What's the admission price for racers and spectators? All this necessary info. crap helps us folks far away plan much better, and practically guarantees you'll get more attendance on race days. Would be great to attend this HAMB event. But this FNG from Oregon needs more info. to decide if it's going to be possible. Thanks in advance for your consideration. mr50s
Can't friggin' wait. I'm bringing my Dad along. He sold his customized '55 Chevy in 1956 and jumped into a sportscar, so I'm counting on everyone to help corrupt him and bring him back to the dark side.
Basic drag strip safety... Helmet, seat belts, etc... Nothing crazy. We added the scatter shield deal after one of our own damn near got hit by a shrapnel last year.
I figured that was why. I saw the carnage the next day. Ok, well I've got plenty of time to figure that out. Oh, and forgive the newb! I've never been on a track, ha!
Registered and confirmed, Thanks Ryan! Is the inspection at the (convention center) hotel the night before again, or can it be done at the track as well the day of?
Massachusetts to Charlotte (to hang with me!). Charlotte to Bonneville Bonneville to HAMB Drags Drag to Massachusetts. Sounds like a cool road trip!
Will the Ansen scattersheild-belhousing that is stamped nhra approved do? My old Lakewood is stating to strip out the threads.
