Rob, Aaron and Tim, can't thank you guys enough for this little mag!!! First run features on cars I've read about here and there, excellant photography, print that doesn't strain these old eyes! I'm allready trying to guess who's car will be in the next, and I certainly think there will be another!!!!

i bought one this weekend at a vons in big bear of all places. my only qualm was that every single one they had on the shelf had a crease in the cover. not a crease like someone put one there by hand but like a fold that was put there by a machine.

it's almost as if it's meant to be bent there. it isn't, is it?

You are not the only one! I've bought about ten copies all around LA & Burbank (click my link below to find out why), and every one has a slit/fold line in the cover. Everybody's asked why it was like that. I have to assume its a defect by the printing house??? Only is So. Cal. I'm guessing.

Mine is like that too. It has to be a defect.

The "defects" need to be replaced, period. PM me if you've purchased a creased copy.

could it have been from how they were bundled? sometimes they get smashed by that plastic strap thing used for shipping.

I bought one last night with the crease. It looks great! And even better, I noticed on a competitor's mag, that we had a car on the cover! I had know idea, but that was quite the pleasant surprise!!

Aaron and Rob, I think you did a killer job on this. I love it. Maybe if you work this right, this could be the Hop Up replacement that we all so dearly miss. And Aaron, you should make Keith bring you to the Pileup. I'll buy you a beer and we can geek out on design with Coby.

FWIW, 3 on the rack with the car mags at Barnes and nobel in Hadley MA today, all with the crease. None there 2 weeks ago, 2 when I left.......

Like the histories on the feature cars, good stuff. I'll buy the next one out, crease or no crease.

As I spend time with it, it strikes me as a cross between Hop Up and Mag-ne-to, both of which I love.

Exactly what I thought when I read it!

EXCELLENT job Rob and Aaron!! It would definately be nice to get some kind of special racking for it in the bigger bookstores, as It got kind of lost with all the other magazines on the shelf.

BTW I picked up the last copy at the local Borders, and it had the crease in the cover too! Seems more like a bindery issue, as it was only the cover.

Got it, love it, has the crease too.

I spent an hour folding it back and forth, I thought it might be a "Mad Magazine" fold in somehow.

Neat magazine, I will be looking forward to the next one.
