these all take me back, yes literally to the 50's, graduated in 1960! these are the cars and extent of mods i remember vividly. growing up in a small town in CNY noone had the bucks for the exotic calif stuff. nosed and decked was a big deal, along w/ tail down, skirts and loud pipes. thanx for sharing for us old farts!

My 56 Buick. Shaved everything, custom grille, and lowered. The only thing not done in my garage was the seat upholstery.

It doesn't take much to set your ride apart from the others....This is what captured my imagination in the beginning....While I loved the offerings of the major Customizers in the 50's and '60's, I knew those cars would always be out of my reach. It doesn't take a lot to nose, deck, tape Flames or Scallops, or have somebody punch some louvers in your hood....Man, that was the stuff dreams are made of! Centurion9
