This years Orange Airport Drag Strip Reunion on Sept 10th will include drag racing! After nearly 40 years of silence, racing returns to Orange MA. Of course the pre-74 car show will return as well as the very popular display area for static/historic race cars and memorabilia. With the addition of racing the entire show will move to the opposite side of the airport with a new entrance gate directly off Route 122.
Racing classes: Top Eliminator Dragsters, Altereds, Gassers, Highly Modified Roadsters & Coupes AA/Dragster: Supercharged or Nitro powered B/Dragster: Naturally aspirated Gas or Alcohol, Flathead rails w/supercharger or Nitro Street Eliminator Hot Rods & Door Cars with overhead valve power Muscle Car Eliminator: 1962-73 Street Rod Eliminator: Pre-62 Flathead Eliminator Hot Rods & Door Cars with Flathead power The BIG 4 Banger Shootout Pre-1933 4 cylinder powered vehicles & Exhibition Only Fun runs and grudge matches for street cars. I had half an idea of attending this with my straight axle but reading the description it says that you only get 330' (shutdown of 440') and the surface is bad.
