This electical juntion box is in my neighborhood, i walk by it daily. It is thick steel, maybe 16 gauge or thicker, would sure like to find a panel or two off one for my T project.

The tech thread for the louver die has my wheels turning:rolleyes:

How about some more? I'm a little challenged on my pictures right now, I lost tons in a computer melt down. These are all mostly the last six months or so.

    Here"s my 32 roadster.....

  23. Lucky, the louvers on my splash aprons were done on Frank Kurtis' press by Art Ingles for me in 1960. 35 on each side. This was the same press that louvered all Kurtis Kraft race cars.

    Man, this is an art!
keep it rollin, i wanna do my 55's hood. Dig the orange 56!

  25. This is the pan on my current RPU. These louvers were done by Eric Vaughn. I chose Eric to do them because he made his louver dies from the louvers on Gray Baskerville's '32. This was significant to me because the hood on Gray's roadster was louvered for Paul Hornung, when he owned the car, by Art Ingles, again, on the Kurtis press. I also had Eric do 35 louvers on my aprons, just like my first RPU. Sadly, I don't own the original car now, but at least I have louvers that are the exact duplicate of the original.

We ended up getting 2" dies for two reasons... one, it is difficult to have a heavely louvered look is such small areas of a T with the standard ones... next, if you flex a piece of metal then flex 2 1/2" louvered panel (same size)... the louved one has a little more flex... do the same thing with 2" louvers and surprisingly it is the opposite... they stiiffin the panel like bead rolling... go figure... anyways, I'm running a louvered floor and belly pan and for a small car - small louvers work

Here are the louvers on the tank I`m building. The removable side panels weren`t too hard to do, but I had to insert the others in the bottom section of the tank body. More pictures are on my website.http://mccainautomotive.com I`m trying to get the car ready for Maxton , but it doesn`t look like I`ll make the April meet.
