I do plan on going to the LSRU, but without the car (not going to try to rush it to get there)... Will you be going again this year? You are exactly right, Lee! That's what I'll plan on doing.

With all the metal cutting, grinding, welding, etc. the garage became a huge mess....
The weather is nice and in the low 50's here in Omaha today, so I rolled the car out the clean and decided to snap a few photos. ![]() A couple months ago I picked up the "Old Blue" C20 Chevy pickup that's in the background. Great old pickup --- well preserved 24k mile original, just a really solid, smooth running pickup. ![]() ![]()

I have been enjoying your build updates. Your car is really looking good. I have 2 questions for you. The front crossmember 1" drop or ? And what front spring are you using? I love the way your roadster sits.

Hmm, at this point I don't recall how much the front crossmember is dropped. You or I would have to check with Gary from Blackboard Hot Rods (that built the frame) to see who's front crossmembers he uses. The front spring is a Posies spring, the same as the Rolling Bones guys use. I *think* it's 29" wide. Will have to check through old invoices for the part number.

Nick, I have been watching this build for some time. Just had to get onboard and let you know how out of site I think this hot rod is. I like your new choice of colors and the tail light treatment looks great. I just helped a good friend with the same problem on his deuce. We took org 37 stands and cut them to fit the frame rail.
You had talked about going to Bonnaville this year. You should hook up with the bones boys & myself. They will be at my shop Aug 6th and we will leave from here after a lunch. Fun bunch to hit the road with. |

Looks really great Nick, I love the tail light treatment. I'm with those in awe of your metal skills. I also now want your C-10. I looked at one in West Point and would love to get it.
You have good taste in vehicles man, but then, everyone already knew that ...

Beautiful roadster. Love the valve cover rear wheel chock in the photo above. This is one of the build threads I look forward to reading. Great skills.
