I had a kind of exciting week last week. About a month ago, I went to Watertown to Lake City Rod and Custom and spent the day with Randy Gribble.

I knew I wanted a really nice chassis for this car and I knew I couldn't build one as nice as I wanted. I had Randy Gribble set me up with a Pete and Jake's chassis and it came last week!

I got a '32 frame all boxed and cross-members welded in. I also got springs, axles, hairpins, and pretty much everything I need for a rolling chassis.

I'll take pictures when I start to assemble all that stuff.

Did you get the frame made for the model A body? Loved hearing about your daughter teaching you things on the computer. You can trade off, and teach her things about building hot rods.LOL Get them involved when they are young, and they may stay with it. Both my son and daughter helped me with all my cars, and they now both can do a lot of things mechanical. my daughter changes her own oil, spark plugs, flats. Pretty proud of her. Good luck on the build. I'll be watching it.

Yup, I had the frame made for the A body, it's pinched by the cowl area and moved in what looks like an inch and a half in the rear on each side.

My girl is so fast on the computer I can't keep up with what she does, at least in the shop I'm still one step ahead of her.

Thanks for the nice words, guys! I played with my shock mounts today! If it's good or bad, who knows? Of course, one of my brand-new chrome shocks leaks.

I've got an old 350 from a 77 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup that ran good and I pulled it and saved it for a project. It is supposed to have a fresh overhaul, seems the last owner of the truck got divorced and had to sell his stuff to keep lawyers happy. I sold the truck minus engine for what I paid for the running truck so I'm not out if it isn't a good engine.

I'm planning a 700r4 tranny and the 9 inch rear end has 4.11 gears so I can have lots of fun around town. I'm hoping the engine runs fast enough in 4th gear on the open road but I won't know for sure till I try it.

fixed some rust and dents on the driver's side door. the passenger's side door only needs some screw holes welded up. got lucky.

I've been watching Grits build his coupe and I really like how he built his dash, so I have decided to borrow his idea. Thanks Grits.

Little note, Back when I first bought this car I applied and got a title for it so I don't have to worry about that later.

I got my Brookville trunk lid and put it on. It fit pretty good after a few hours of tweaking

The gap along the bottom isn't quite perfect. I will have to think about that for a while.

My girl is impatiently waiting for the wood kits to arrive.
