Thanks guys...
I've been really slacking on updating this thread! My compressor just bit the bicky so I'm sitting at the computer trying to cheer up... I'll post a few new pics to help my mood a bit! Haha... Repaired the last section of firewall. Repaired the forward edge of the cowl before removing the top to repair the rust damage on the plenum floor in that area. The cowl floor was much worse than I thought (what else is new?) and required total replacement. Had to pull the dash cluster, brake assembly and column to get access inside. Got it all repaired and put the top back on...

Think the biggest thing on this car now is the two front fenders.. one quarter and some small spots in the bottom of the doors..Ill be teaming up with him on these repairs. We like to take this car to the show this year!! Another year in the T bucket is pushing it!! lol

Got the new compressor up and running!
Cleaned up the bottom of the floorpan under the rear seat and ground down some welds. LOT of work with the scraper and then a needle scaler to open the pores in the surface rust to allow for rust conversion treatment. Have the area treated with rust converter now, and I'll prime and seam seal it all tomorrow. Tomorrow night I'll concentrate on the inner rockers and some areas between the subframe connectors and the inner rockers that still need some cleanup work. Hopefully I'll get it all primed and maybe sealed too. That will pretty well clue up what I'm doing with the underbody for now. The rear section will get a quick cleanup after we finish the quarter panels. Once the floors etc are painted and the body is completely finished everything will get a coat of factory style undercoat...no shiny floors for this one. fitzee nailed it on whats left...plus the million little things that we're completely overlooking of course! Hahaha

Color change? Shouldn't be that hard.
Strip it down. Build a big tub. Fill tub with paint. Dip body. Color change=done. I hear Jeff Foxworthy saying, "You might be a redneck" but maybe that's what a half bottle of Jack is saying to me. Good luck on the metal work.

White? Seriously.....white?
I'm not into white at all. I might consider a satin sheen in something other than black I suppose...but I'm honestly still seeing this car as satin black! It just works for me. I'll listen to and consider suggestions though...from you or anyone else! Man...does that first one ever look good with the tall tires and rubber rake. Gives the car a whole different feel compared to the second pic with smaller rears and a level stance. I think those cars were just meant to have that drag race influence goin' on...

If you're going to go white, then paint it up like a true drag racer: name-on-the-side (Built by Hackerbilt) lettering, stripes, sponsor decals, etc...
Otherwise, blue would be nice.... R-

Thats a good one Roy.. I been looking at this car for a few years now. was at my shop two years before Bill got it!! and back then I seen it as a X cop car or a moon shine runner or a sleeper. The car is a 4 door so the drag car idea is not fitting in my mind till its turned into a 2 door. But thats just me.. we all beat to our own drum.. lol
Bill?? if I dont get my own way... out it goes!! LOL just kidding buddy..

I can't believe how much better the car looks high compared to how crappy it looked low!
Some cars are just not meant to be slammed I guess. Shes obviously TOO high now, but will come down as weight is added of course. MIGHT need a set of blocks out back to sneak her down an additional inch or two for a better rake before all is said and done. I do know one thing...she isn't gonna fear speed bumps while I own her!!!
