Here is some pix of my project. I buy it from Los Angeles and I have it in my garage at Feb 2010. I put blown 286cid flathead and T5 tranny in it. I can't wait to build that engine. There's lot of good threads to how to build blown flatty and I have been ordered book called "335 HP Flathead Ford V-8 Performance Handbook" so I think I get all the answers to do it right. I'll try to get it on the road on next summer and I hope it will run FAST! In future it will have new shiny paint, flake or something...

Chassis is interesting ... a little different way of dropping the body but it looks like it will work ... I really like the cross member ... nice job

I like how you did the steps in the frame.

  6. Very interesting project. The chassis displays a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The clutch and brake pedals are especially nice. Looking forward to seeing more.

  7. Very nice! You guys in Finland always amaze me with your skills. It looks like high quality craftsmanship is very much the standard in your part of the world.

Keep posting pictures! We love that stuff.

Thanks guys! Good to hear you like it. Can't do any better...

Why it is different? I get all my ideas for you guys over the seas, like reading H.A.M.B. and US magazines. Even junkyard rat rods sometimes have usable ideas for some construction if you little finishing that idea.

    It says KARHU, finnish beer........

I don't know, baybe not. It is now 4" lower than stock. I fit chopped deuce shell, but I don't like it, look too small... I want radiator is big as possible and that engine will cost me a fortune and I don't want any overheatin problems.

No, I don't wanna send it, I need it too... It's not that hard to build, you only need 40ft square tubing, angle grinder, mig welder and lot of time and little bit nerve.....

Good to see Smiley's old coupe getting on the road. I agree a stepped A frame is quite common and proven.
