Sorry it's taken so long to get more pictures up. The truck made it to GNRS without a hitch. I've been back at home and driving it a bunch. It rides incredibly! I got it up on the lift to check everything out, and everything looks good. The airbags aren't rubbing, and all the height sensors are exactly as I left them. On the way home on Sunday it ended up raining pretty hard. With the way I mounted the ECU and the valves I gave them a good weather test!
Even though it's all electronic, I didn't have one issue! I cleaned everything up while it was on the lift and took some pictures of how I mounted everything. I got a pair of AccuAir's new compressor mounts too. They have an isolator at each corner and take away almost all the noise and vibration that the compressors usually cause! Now I'm gonna work on building a cover for the notch in the bed. I wanna make it match the shape of the inner fenders. Wish me luck!

Looks sweet man. Where did you get those clamps that you use for the height sensors? seems like the perfect way to mount them.
Thanks

Very nicely done. Very clean & thought out. I dig the semi-circle notch. Great stance too.
Thanks for the ideas ... I learned a few things on your build. Ratty 46 |

Great job on the project. I agree, air is the only way to go!!! I too have it on my 53 chevy with just enough clearance that if it blows a line, I can still get it out of the street. I have a M-II setup also with about 1 1/2 inches of clearance under the crossmember when aired out and I put bump stops in a mini notch to keep the frame from setting on the rear end. My avatar is of the truck. Great job on the fabrication and finish of your truck. Keep up the great work.

Custom100...KOOL fab work!
Well...this thread did it for me!..... ...I've been talkin' to Reno about this system since early 2009 and after reading thru this thread...I picked up the phone and ordered everything I needed for our '56 Effie.... NOW I gotta get my ass is gear,... TCI MII IFS...No Limit Engineering Fat Bar 4-Bar out back all on Firestone bags... For the "notch" I picked up these pieces from Art Morrison to simplyfy things just a little 'cause they are the same size as the rails...you can order them bent either way...mine are mandrel bent the "the hard way" as it says in the catalog... ... http://www.artmorrison.com/2006cat/27.pdf ![]() Now I finnally got the BEST system to make it all work correctly... Oh boy is my wife happy... ...when I get my act together I'll startputting together a build thread.... -

Did you mount the REAR sensors to the lower bar OR the upper
on the 4-bar setup?.... ...Looks like the upper...just wanted to make sure since yours came out so kool...THAT is a great idea....thanks man...REALLY nice work... What size air tank are you using?....1 or 2 compressors?..... I picked up the VIAIR 400C Dual Performance Value Pack and a 12-gallon tank BEFORE I sort of knew what I was doin'...now I think I need to get a smaller tank... Thanks...sweet truck....howZ it doing..... -

Hey Rockher_Man, I attached them to the upper bars yeah. It worked out great because you could only see them if you laid on the ground.
The airbags on that truck made it fun to drive again! With as simple as the e-Level is I could even let my wife drive it without worrying about her putting it at the right height. Yeah, I'm talking about the truck in past tense because I sold it. I drove it and had a lot of fun with it, but I can't go to long without building something new so it had to go to fund the next one.

...I ordered the Stage II kit minus the tank & compressors 'cause I already had those....BUTT....like I said....this was before I did ALL my homework and bought a damn 12-gallon tank!!!! I was just wondering what size tank YOU used?....I think this TWELVE gallon thing is gonna be TOO big....even with twin 400C compressors!.... Thanks again....too bad it had to go....now you can get started on the next one.... -
