does anyone have an idea if a cummins diesel would fit in a 1946 1.5 ton engine bay.
i ask because i am buying a 46 and want to drop the cab on a 1997 dodge 1 ton chassis with a cummins.\ im afraid the radiators and condenser may take up too much space and the engine may be too long. any help, suggestions, past experiences or wisdom would be appreciated. |

thanks novadude, i was afraid the radiator would be too wide. i almost bought the dodge last night but felt the need to wait. i will have to start measuring. im not afraid to tackle the project, i have the workplace and skills, i just dont know if i want anymore extra work. i may just go with a chevy 1 ton with a v-8.

A short bed 2 ton ex-mobile home mover.
Probably was military surplus. Has a huge PTO winch in the back. In 1973 I put a 235 in it for my father-in-law to pull a dozer. The picture is from about 5 years ago when I sold it. |
