Yet another HF(Woodward) bead roller build...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Probesport, Sep 21, 2010.

  1. My take on the bead roller scene bought the Woodward Fab unit from Summit, very similar to the Harbor Freight one. I made a very simple, quick stand for it put a wheel on instead of a lever and painted it. Fast & dirty built with scrap/leftovers and ~2hours of my time.

I need to pinstripe it a bit for some more character - and of course I still need to figure out how to use this contraption :)

  2. This is how I reinforced mine.

Used 3/8 inch plate to fabricate "strong backs" and a web.

I will replace the stock adjuster with a block of mild steel drilled and tapped for a 1/2 inch fine thread bolt.

The pegs are made out of 1/2 inch all thread. Bolts would work as well.

So far, everything is holding up and I am pleased with the results that we are getting.

Ugly as sin. But that is not a priority right now.
