I will try to explain.Go to Utube or where ever the vid is from.Do a right click and copy the link ,not the code link ,the other one .Its the one on the right under the clip on Utube that says "Embed" or something simular.Go to the hamb and post a reply or thread .Look in the right top and you will see what looks like a movie reel on the page.Click on it and a "YT" ,"YT" will appear where you type your message .Right click in between the "YT"'s .Paste the link between them.Im not sure if this is the best way ,but it works for me ...
Well I'll be darned...been trying to do this off and on for a while. Thanks, Muttley! And thanks for asking this question, Carl.
P.S. - I know I embedded a couple of videos by simply right clicking on the video-screen and doing a copy-and-paste...but only a couple of times...won't work that way now for me. I have no idea why.
Can't get it to work on "preview post", so I'll try it here. Please bear with me, am having trouble following the "copy embed" instructions.
I am usually able to get Youtube videos to embed, tried it a couple days ago, and just could not get it to work. Maybe an issue with the TJJ site upgrage?? Malcolm
Just go HERE: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=736848&highlight=youtube+videos and do exactly what it says. the trick is to "RIGHT CLICK" on the little piece of the address bar to get the drop down menu to pop up. Then scroll down and hit "Cut" or "Copy" (both will work i think. )
That's what I did. When I left-clicked address bar twice (while on youtube site), the words "youtube" were all that was highlighted in address bar. Right-clicked that, then pasted that into the HAMB thingy between the [Y/T] and the [Y/T]. I need after school remedial tutoring.
I'm not sure but I think that the site won't allow you to post videos in full screen. But if you want to view the video in full-screen go to the lower right corner of the frame that's around the embedded video and click the YouTube logo. This will open the video on the YouTube site in a new window and then you can watch the video in full-screen mode.
Well, that is the key right there. Thanks! (Several years later, the cyber idiot finally got it). Seems there used to be a better place to practice this stuff, but can't seem to find it.
