I had hijacked a few other threads, so figured I would create one of my own. Since the oldest grandson is visiting in August, figured I would try to get this little supermodified yard art/jungle gym done in time. Always loved the San Jose style supermodifieds of the 60's and 70's, so.....just gonna build one for the grand kids to play on. This has been too much fun, and since the Anderegg Roadster is at a bit of a stand still to save bucks for the front suspension, this would be a great way to release some creative energy, and not cost much of anything. Hope they enjoy it as much as I have building it. Thanks for checking it out, Louie
Be careful what you do- I used to play around in an old race car when no one was looking. That's me driving it in the avatar 31 years later!
thanks folks for looking in....this has been a blast, and yup scored the lil tykes bed at a yard sale for 15 bucks. Louie

Been working on the aluminum body....The grandson will be here in 2 weeks, better get thrashin' Louie
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope your grandkids look up to you as much as I did to the one that turned me on to cars.
Might be time to drag out some of my old equipment that I used to build roll cages and frames for Howe Racing Enterprises. I have the technology!!! Frank
Its litterally scabbed together with a bunch of stuff Ive had laying around, and most of it was probably not safe enough to put on the track. But, I may build another with safer dimensions, a safer cage, and better axles and suspension to run with the vintage guys in California, (but after the Anderegg Roadster is done). But this has been a blast so far Louie
Louie, Looks like your Grandson will be getting one neat surprise from Grandpa ! A real labor of love.
a quick vid of the initial fitting.... <object width="480" height="385"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1Al90DWtlt0?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></object>
If the new wears off, and it becomes just another toy, sneak around when the little booger isn't looking. Then, when he climbs in, fire the motor. Some of my best childhood memories involve peeing myself.
